InterTradeIreland was delighted to support Alinea in the final showcase of the Evolve programme, which took place recently in Dublin. Evolve is a rigorous start-up programme designed to empower women researchers across the island. Evolve equips them with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to successfully navigate the spin-out journey. The showcase offered these innovative start-ups the chance to pitch their products and services focusing on how they plan to disrupt the market, offer a compelling customer experience as well as a road map to market. The judging panel included Alison Currie, Emma Callinan, David Moffitt and Gren Armstrong. Well done to all of the participants, who did an excellent job showcasing the latest innovations in areas such as MedTech, sustainability and AI. Congratulations to AthlenX who developed a sensor designed to measure athletes' energy expenditure during training and OstoMate who are developing advanced ostomy bag technologies that monitors stoma output and fluid composition👏 Evolve was supported by the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme initiative in partnership with InterTradeIreland, Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. #SharedIsland

Department for the Economy NI Minister Conor Murphy addressed an event to discuss the significant impact of the North-South Bodies with our Chief Executive Margaret Hearty, and the CEOs of Tourism Ireland and Safefood. Since we opened our doors in 1999, InterTradeIreland has directly supported over 60,000 businesses and reported more than £1.7bn/€1.95bn in business development value. Margaret Hearty said: "Across the island there are many shared policy priorities and economic opportunities that can best be addressed by maximising cross-border collaboration with our partners. Our all-island remit and research provides a robust evidence base for policymakers and stakeholders to collaborate on key areas including the drive to sustainability and increasing productivity and competitiveness.” "We would like to acknowledge the success of all the North-South bodies and we look forward to working with them over the next 25 years to continue to increase all-island economic growth and cooperation.” You can read more in the press release from the Centre for Cross Border Cooperation here: https://lnkd.in/eWaXXt5Q
