The Integrity Council remains steadfast in its mission to enhance the credibility and impact of the #VoluntaryCarbonMarket. 📈 We recently announced our Board’s decision that Isometric is now CCP-Eligibile. Verra’s VM0047 Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) methodology also received CCP-approval. “ARR methodologies are pivotal for global climate resilience, providing essential tools for sustainable development through significant carbon sequestration and positive social contributions. Academic research shows that ARR initiatives are among the most cost-effective climate mitigation strategies and could sequester up to 10 gigatonnes of CO2 annually by 2050.” said our Expert Panel Co-Chair Daniel Ortega Pacheco 🌐 The Road Ahead: Our assessments of carbon crediting methodologies and programs continue, paving way for a new generation of high-integrity #CarbonCredits that uphold credibility and integrity. 🤝 🔗Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/dUTWDR5i

The Integrity Council remains steadfast in its mission to enhance the credibility and impact of the #VoluntaryCarbonMarket. 📈 We recently announced our Board’s decision that Isometric is now CCP-Eligibile. Annette Nazareth, Chair of the Integrity Council Governing Board said: “We congratulate Isometric on meeting our rigorous criteria and becoming the sixth carbon crediting program to be approved as CCP-Eligible. By undergoing our assessment process, programs meeting our CCP criteria can use the CCP label by issuing credits under CCP-approved methodologies, a mark of excellence for high-quality carbon credits."🌿 The Road Ahead: We are pleased to see how the market has responded to our assessment decisions this year. Our assessments of carbon crediting methodologies and programs continue, paving way for a new generation of high-integrity #CarbonCredits that uphold credibility and integrity. 🤝 🔗Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/dUTWDR5i
The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) announced today that Isometric has been approved as a Carbon Crediting Program. Isometric is the first registry specifically focused on carbon removals to receive this endorsement. This follows Isometric’s accreditation by ICROA earlier this year and conditional approval by CORSIA earlier this week. Isometric has been robustly scrutinized by three independent accrediting bodies within the past 12 months and in all cases found to have met their requirements. Isometric has been able to receive these accreditations in a relatively short time-frame due to its commitment to scientific rigor and only issuing carbon removal credits of the highest quality. This means Isometric can now issue CCP-eligible credits under any protocol that receives approval under ICVCM’s Category Assessment process. This is an ongoing process where ICVCM reviews specific protocols against their quality requirements. If you’re interested in finding out more about what CORSIA or CCP-labelled credits could mean for your business, let us know at the link below and we will be in touch. https://lnkd.in/givZG_ci

📣The Integrity Council is thrilled to announce that our Governing Board has approved Isometric a carbon crediting program focused on carbon dioxide removal (CDR), as meeting the criteria of our Core Carbon Principles (CCPs add trademark) and is now CCP-Eligible. Isometric joins ACR at Winrock International, Architecture for REDD+ Transactions (ART), Climate Action Reserve, Gold Standard, and Verra as the latest of the CCP-Eligible Programs. ✅ In addition, Verra’s VM0047 Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) methodology has also been CCP-Approved, paving the way for impactful afforestation and reforestation projects that contribute to climate resilience and sustainable development. 🌱 No carbon credits have yet been issued under this methodology, but the approval decision paves the way for CCP-labelled ARR credits to enter the market. 🔍 Why This Matters The Core Carbon Principles (CCPs) ensure that carbon credits meet the highest thresholds for quality, transparency, and accountability. By achieving CCP-Eligibility, programs demonstrate their commitment to effective governance, robust quantification, and meaningful contributions to sustainable development. 🌐 🔗 Read full release here - https://lnkd.in/dUTWDR5i
