Yesterday, colleagues from Hydroscand Group and Hydroscand UK gathered for a productive workshop at our Widnes branch in the UK. During the visit, we had the privilege of seeing the Widnes team—featuring Neil and Rob—in action, delivering exceptional service. At 11 am, a broken high-pressure hydraulic hose was brought in by Associated British Ports (ABP). Thanks to the team’s expertise and efficiency, the hose was repaired and ready for delivery in just 2–3 hours! Graham Humphries, Engineering Supervisor at ABP, shared his appreciation: "The Widnes team are friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They’re always on hand to help—not just with hoses but with accessories too. I couldn’t praise them higher." We are incredibly proud to share that our Cardiff, Plymouth and Bodmin branches have completed 193.5 miles on the treadmill and the bike in our challenge to raise funds for Dementia UK! So far, our four branches: Redruth, Bodmin, Plymouth and Cardiff have completed 539.40 miles in total. A big thank you to the teams at Bodmin, Plymouth and Cardiff (Jason powell, Andrew Hoare, Jordan Wearn, Blake Green, Lee Morgan and Michael Hunt) for their hard work and dedication to this cause. The challenge will continue at our Bodmin and Plymouth branches but will also move to our Gloucester branch for the next week! We're challenging our amazing team to complete as many miles as possible this week, and we can't wait to see the results! They were always ready to help, no matter how complex the request. I had a non-standard fitting that I needed to integrate with my existing hydraulic hose in a confined space on a hydraulic ram. They took the time to explain each step and ensure everything was properly assembled including the utilisation of previously missing Bonded Seals. “They also went the extra mile by offering to visit our site to provide further assistance. This is an incredibly valuable service for us, as they are willing to explain the variety of fittings we have on-site and help us better understand how to maintain and replace them in the future.
