Yesterday, Sofia Almeida and Kathryn Sliti from Hyatt Place & Hyatt House Leeds went volunteering at the Leeds South and East Foodbank. They spent the day sorting and organizing food donations, which will help create thousands of meals for individuals and families in need. We are grateful to the Leeds South and East Foodbank team for not only welcoming us but also taking the time to educate us on the crucial work they do to support those facing hunger in our community. At Hyatt, we believe in care, not just for our guests but for our communities as well. Meet Alex Coleman, our Hotel Manager. When we're not forcing him to dress up in uniform samples, he's busy ensuring that all of Hyatt Place & Hyatt House Leeds' operational departments are working to the highest of standards. Having previously worked at Malmaison, The Queens, Clayton and Doubletree in Leeds, it's fair to say Alex knows the market. A Week at Hyatt Place & Hyatt House Leeds 🏨 Monday: Another exciting OS&E delivery day! 🤩 We’re making great progress, and it’s amazing to see everything we need coming together as we get closer to opening. Tuesday: Room photoshoots day 📸! The talented Frances Tolson from Evoke Pictures Lifestyle visited to capture our beautiful rooms—we can’t wait for you to see them! Wednesday: Emma Beckett and Jared Webb visited Leeds City College to connect with aspiring young talent, speaking on the exciting career opportunities at our hotel and sparking their creativity with a hands-on taco-making session 🌮. Thursday: Big news—our collaboration with Hatch is officially underway! Peter Dodd, Jill Nichols, Alex Coleman and Sofia Almeida gave their team a hotel tour and worked on some truly exciting ideas for our pre-opening activities. Friday: The signage is going up! Soon, you’ll be able to spot our hotel from different parts of Leeds. We’re thrilled to share these milestones as we prepare to welcome you soon. Shabs joined us at Hyatt Place & Hyatt House Leeds in July as Front of House Manager, having had a successful career working for Marriott, including an 8 year spell working in their Leeds hotel as Front Office Manager. What Shabs doesn't know about Leeds (and cricket) isn't worth knowing. Shabs is now hunting for an experienced front office team to support our hotel opening, starting with Nights Manager.
