📖 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒.𝐔.𝐌.𝐎. (𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐭 𝐔𝐩, 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐧) 𝐛𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐌𝐜𝐆𝐞𝐞 📖 I had a conversation with a client today where I referenced 𝐒.𝐔.𝐌.𝐎. - a book I'd once read, and after sharing some insights from some of the chapters, I found myself picking it up again for a quick read. Given how 𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 is happening around us day by day, I thought this could be the 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 to recommend to others across my network who may value it's content. It's "𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥", as they say, but a very insightful read none-the-less✨ I first read 𝐒.𝐔.𝐌.𝐎. back in 2016, and it made me take an honest look at my life, encouraging me to take more 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 for how I wanted it to unfold. Back then, it inspired some very positive changes in my life. Revisiting it again this summer - while considering founding Human Guided Learning, I was reminded why I’m so (very!) passionate about 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. 💡 In the past 12-24 months, I’ve seen how the training world has shifted towards 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 and 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, often at the expense of true learning outcomes. As someone who has worked in 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for nearly 20 years, I’ve witnessed first-hand the importance of focusing on the 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲, not just the process. Paul McGee’s 𝐒.𝐔.𝐌.𝐎. serves as a perfect guide for humans to move ahead in life. It’s filled with 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬, 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐫, and 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐝𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 that speak to the core of what makes us all unique and capable of growth. It’s a book that not only helps you take ownership of your own journey but also serves as a reminder that 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧.🤝 At Human Guided Learning, my mission is to ensure that 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 and 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 remain at the heart of everything we do. Just like 𝐒.𝐔.𝐌.𝐎., we focus on guiding individuals, teams, and organisations to unlock their potential - because 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲.🌱 If you’re looking for a read that combines 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐫, and 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦, I highly recommend 𝐒.𝐔.𝐌.𝐎. 📖 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? 📚 ♻️ 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐟𝐮𝐥. • 🚀 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 🚀 In a world increasingly driven by AI-generated content, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is becoming harder to sustain. With automated systems producing vast amounts of data, many people, teams, and organisations are beginning to question the 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 of what they receive. 🤖 AI-powered platforms excel at 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, but they often fall short in areas requiring 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. As learning becomes more tech-driven, something essential is being lost - 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The 𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 that only a person can provide are irreplaceable. 📊 Research suggests that by 2025, we will see a 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. People will actively seek out learning experiences where 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 form the foundation. This change will come not from rejecting technology, but from 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in delivering meaningful personal development. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 🎯𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡: Ensure programmes are tailored to your specific goals and challenges. 🏆𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Look for proven track records and industry expertise. 🤝 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Seek interactive, feedback-driven sessions that encourage real growth. 🌿 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Prioritise providers who consider both professional performance and personal wellbeing. At Human Guided Learning, we believe the 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 lies in 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬. Technology can support and enhance learning, but human-led coaching, consultancy, and training remain at the heart of sustainable growth and long-term success. Our approach is built on the understanding that personal development is not just about receiving information - it’s about 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 - all grounded in 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. ✨ As we move forward, let’s not forget the power of people. AI can provide data, but 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞. ❓ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈-𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? #HumanGuidedLearning #Authenticity

  • 🌱 5 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 🌱 Self-discovery is a journey, and sometimes the most powerful insights come from simple, fun activities. Here are 5 games you can play solo to dive deeper into your own personal growth: 1. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝" 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 🧩 Pick one word that resonates with you today - whether it's something you're striving for, feeling, or inspired by. Reflect on why this word is meaningful and how it reflects your current state of mind. As you explore, you might discover new motivations or values hidden within. 2. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬" 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 💡 Ask yourself three deep questions: "What would I do if I weren’t afraid?" "What’s a decision I need to make that I’ve been avoiding?" "What would I want to be remembered for?" Answer them honestly, and let the reflections guide you toward new insights and clarity. 3. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟" 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 🕵️♂️ Visualise yourself 5 years from now. Where are you? What are you doing? How do you feel? Now, identify one small action you can take today that would bring you closer to that future version of yourself. 4. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤-𝐈𝐧" 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 🧭 Write down your top 5 personal values (e.g., honesty, kindness, adventure). Reflect on how these values show up in your daily life. Are you living in alignment with them? If not, what changes can you make to bring your actions and values into harmony? 5. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐈𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 🧘 Sit in a quiet space and close your eyes. In your mind’s eye, picture a version of yourself that you’ve never truly seen before. What do they look like? What qualities do they possess? What can you learn from this version of you to enhance your current journey? Self-discovery isn’t about perfection - it’s about understanding and growth. Try out these games and see what new insights you can uncover about yourself. 🌟 🔄 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞, 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭!
