This unique property opens up opportunities for scientists to exploit their potential in applications such as water treatment, agriculture, biomedical therapeutics, energy, and beverages. However, the methods for creating nanobubbles vary widely. This joint webinar of PureNanoTech and HORIBA, will introduce the latest innovation in nanobubble technology, validated using an improved nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) and explore different bubble generation techniques, providing insights into nanobubbles’ fundamental principles and unique characteristics. • Having recently had the privilege of speaking with Professor Peter Croot (FRSC) from the University of Galway about his research, it is fantastic to see him in action out at sea measuring FDOM (fluorescent dissolved organic matter) with the HORIBA Aqualog. FDOM sampled at water surface is bleached by the sun, therefore requiring very sensitive equipment like the Aqualog! Find out more about Peter’s fascinating work and his epic oceanic travels in our recent Science in Action article: 𝐸𝑥𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑖𝑜𝑔𝑒𝑜𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑐𝑦𝑐𝑙𝑒𝑠, 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑦 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑙𝑢𝑜𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑝𝑦 Read here! https://horiba.link/ve6   #biogeochemicalcycles #speciation #primaryproductivity #ocean #fluorescencespectroscopy #fluorescence #spectroscopy #research #carboncycling #environment #chemistry #environmentalchemistry #CDOM #FDOM #HORIBA

  • Here's the #HaemInsights ✅ 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫: Target cell C) Thalassemia Target cells are red #blood cells that have the appearance of a shooting target with a bullseye. In optical #microscopy, these cells appear to have a dark centre (a central, haemoglobinised area) surrounded by a white ring (an area of relative pallor). Clinical details may include #anaemia-like symptoms with a reduced #MCV. Drinking water treatment faces challenges from microorganisms in raw water and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) from plant material in watersheds. Chlorination, while effective, can create carcinogenic disinfection byproducts. This workshop will showcase how HORIBA’s A-TEEM spectroscopy can analyse DOC and contaminants, providing faster, more cost-effective, and accurate results compared to traditional methods. Discussing: 💧Principles of A-TEEM spectroscopy 💧Drinking water treatment chemistry 💧Optical analysis of DOC and contaminants 💧Calibration, automation, and troubleshooting Register here 👉https://horiba.link/hbm #WaterQuality #EnvironmentalScience #Spectroscopy #HORIBA #researchers #WaterTreatment #CarbonAnalysis #environment #pollution #DrinkingWater #A-TEEM #spectroscopy #RawWater #DissolvedOrganicCarbon #DOC #chemistry #Calibration #automation

  • Just one day until this webinar 👇 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 📅 27th November 2024 🕙 9AM GMT 🕓 3PM GMT As air pollution regulations tighten, staying compliant can become increasingly challenging. The World Health Organization’s (WHO) updated guidelines for key pollutants — PM10, PM2.5, SO2, NO2, CO, and O3 — will soon be reflected in the European Union’s Air Quality Directive. Adapting to these changes is essential for organisations monitoring air quality. Technical updates have also been made to EN norms for measuring NOx (EN 14211), SO2 (EN 14212), CO (EN 14626), and O3 (EN 14625), including a change in the absorption cross-section for ozone measurements. For many organisations, the question isn’t just understanding the new legislation but how to meet these standards efficiently, without disrupting operations. The AP-380 from HORIBA offers a seamless solution for accurate, compliant air quality measurements. Join this webinar to learn more about the key changes in EU air quality regulations and their immediate impact on your operations. Discover how HORIBA’s AP-380 can ensure your air quality monitoring stays fully compliant with the latest standards.
