"This campaign definitely reached 500m people..." 👀 Strategy Director Adam Mack has penned a piece for PRmoment on why the way we recognise success needs to be better, calling on agencies to apply our famous creativity to demonstrating impact.
About us
Welcome … to the land of Hope&Glory. If we had to give ourselves a label, we’d describe ourselves as a consumer brand and lifestyle agency that helps organisations connect with consumers through the media that influences them most. But we’d rather skip the label and let you decide for yourself. The agency was started by James Gordon-MacIntosh and Jo Carr back in November 2011. After working together at Seventy Seven PR for three years, they decided to strike out and form their own agency. Starting life as a fledgling agency with clients including O2, D&AD, Meantime and the Isle of Man, Hope&Glory now has a team of over 65 and has added to their client roster names such as IKEA, The Royal Mint, Airbnb, HTC, Virgin Active and adidas. The secret to this success? A steadfast belief in some old-school PR values – like knowing the media and what makes a great story – and being able to convert these to every conceivable field of PR, from social and digital media … to experiential …to stunts … or just a bloody hard-working press office. That means that we come up with award-winning creative platforms that are on-brand and ideas that cut-through and deliver coverage.

There’s a new luxury pop up on Oxford Street, and it’s dedicated to the legendary IKEA blue bag – the FRAKTA! We’ve been busy launching the Hus of FRAKTA with IKEA and Mother, a high-end concept store in one of the world’s shopping capitals. Putting on a star-studded launch event, we rolled out the blue carpet, cranked up the Swedish tunes, and of course, served meatball canapes, all in celebration of the iconic FRAKTA bag. Featuring an immersive experience, an ‘Atelier’ to initial a FRAKTA bag with bespoke lettering, ‘Curated Collection’ of some of IKEA’s most iconic products and a ‘Blue Edit’ that pays tribute to the FRAKTA blue, the pop-up is open until March next year.

The Samsung team have been working hard to mark the return of Solve for Tomorrow – a yearly competition aimed at young people aged 16-25 in the UK and Ireland to help them develop the skills and confidence to design tomorrow’s tech solutions. Joined by musician, broadcaster, and entrepreneur Krept, the team hosted a panel event and pre-event workshop for young people at Samsung KX to inspire the next generation whilst simultaneously raising awareness of the competition and its aims. With over 90 pieces of coverage landed so far, including interviews with Krept on PA, The Sun, and Sky News, the team have certainly done that! 🎉 Applications are open until Sunday 12th January.

An epic night for the team at the PRCA Awards 🏆🔥 Our fearless leader Jo Carr won the Francis Ingham Outstanding Contribution award and was recognised for the positive impact she makes on the industry beyond just the huge impact she has on us at H&G towers 👑 There were two gongs for Trainline x Missing People to round out their amazing awards run (16 but who’s counting) and high commendations for campaigns with IKEA and HMV. And finally…we won Large Agency of the Year!!

Following weeks of speculation, Greggs officially launched the festive season by announcing the return of the iconic Greggs Christmas menu with none other than culinary icon Nigella Lawson. In Greggs' first Christmas ad, the domestic goddess come national treasure returns to her beautifully decorated London townhouse with a traditional Christmas tree and Greggs-themed baubles before delighting in a Festive Bake, noted for its "rapturous riot of flavour" and "succulent filling," while gazing blissfully at the camera. Within minutes of the ad going live we announced the story to the world and this one went everywhere. Wall-to-wall coverage across national, consumer, food, lifestyle, and broadcast, with standout editorial pieces all celebrating the return of the Greggs Christmas Menu in uniquely British style. Amazing team effort from the Greggs x Hope&Glory PR team, Drummond Central, Academy Films and the legends Ian White, Fiona Mills, EJ Williams
