Herts Careline is a not-for-profit community alarm service provided by North Hertfordshire Council in association with Hertfordshire County Council. We provide community pendant alarm monitoring and response services across Hertfordshire and are one of the largest independent providers of assistive technology in the UK - www.care-line.co.uk Award-winning Herts Careline is commissioned by Hertfordshire County Council to provide community alarms and low level telecare provisions across Hertfordshire. Our community alarm and telecare services give users the freedom to live independently in their own home. The service provides reassurance to users and their families that help is on hand via our Hertfordshire based Control Centre at the touch of a button, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No means testing. No upfront costs. No equipment charges. Just one subsidised monthly charge for all. JOIN ONLINE - at www.care-line.co.uk or call 0300 999 2 999. Health and social care professionals can make referrals directly online via the Telecare page at www.care-line.co.uk When we receive a call from an alarm unit our highly trained and dedicated operators will know exactly who you are, your medical history and will be able to talk to you via the speaker built into the alarm unit. Once we have knowledge of the problem we will either contact your designated responder (family member or friend), doctor, carer or the emergency services if necessary.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve had our contract for assistive technology services extended by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) until 2031. In partnership with HCC, Herts Careline supports more than 13,000 residents with telecare technology that’s designed to help them live independently in their own homes for longer. Cllr Daniel Allen, Leader of North Herts Council, said: "Careline is an absolute jewel in the crown of North Herts Council. We’re incredibly fortunate to have this service, which provides such vital support to our community. Extending Careline for another five years is a decision I’m immensely proud of.
