Have you heard of the PRA? They are the Prudential Regulation Authority, which is part of the Bank of England and is responsible (along with the Financial Conduct Authority) for issuing banking licenses in the UK, like the one just issued to Revolut / Revolut Business recently. Here is a direct quote from the PRA website:- "You wouldn’t give money to someone you didn’t trust, would you? Making a deposit into a bank or building society account is like giving your trust to that organisation. You trust that it will look after your money and, when you want to access that money again, it will be there" - verbatim from their own website. So presumably you would think that when a company is granted such a license it would have gone through various stability checks which include robust cyber security protocols and protecting customers from their money being stolen, or in the words of the PRA "When you want to access that money again, it will be there" - well I thought so too which is one of the reasons we moved to Revolut Business but incredibly after just 4 weeks of being a customer - a scammer knew information that could only have been known by Revolut and they seem quite comfortable after 2 weeks "investigation" that this is not their problem and despite my 4 different messages to the CEO Francesca Carlesi remain unanswered. I would be very interested to know what Sam Woods (CEO of PRA) and Nikhil Rathi (CEO of FCA) think about this clear failure to protect customers. I would also welcome to hear of anyone else who has experienced such abysmal failure from Revolut Business
