It was a real pleasure to share the stage with Lukas Feiler at #RISKDubai and hear his first-hand perspective on how the EU's AI Act is shaping up and his views on how it might impact the international technology sector and regulatory landscape. We appreciate you coming out all this way to share your insights, Lukas! Key takeaways: ⛑️ The AI Act is a product safety measure aimed at harmonising rules for the deployment and use of this type of software in Europe. 🛑 It sets the rules of the game - developers wishing to service the European market will have to meet these requirements, so they could become a de facto international standard. 💡 Other jurisdictions have an opportunity to establish equivalent local standards that could make it easier for companies from those locations to enter the EU market. ⚡ Equally, smaller jurisdictions can look at what the EU does right (or wrong) and react accordingly - being responsive can be a big advantage.
