The session, "Is Article 6.2 ITMO Trading Ready to Take Off?" examines Ghana’s trailblazing approach to exporting ITMOs through a unique partnership with Singapore. This collaboration is powered by ZERO13’s Global ITMO Trading Hub, which aims to address key market challenges with high-integrity carbon trading systems🌐🌱. As noted by Dr John Kingsley Krugu, “Ghana is one of the few active African carbon registries” highlighting this partnership as a key step in advancing carbon markets. The report highlights how improved domestic frameworks, stronger partnerships, and targeted capacity-building can help these countries unlock their climate potential and contribute to global net-zero goals🌐💡.
