Our research and development team led by Jan-Hendrik Duminy and Karl Marais is in full motion. For the last year, we have investigated suitable methods within our company to produce pharmaceutical-grade THC-A isolate. THC-A is the acidic form of a non-psychoactive "high-producing" cannabinoid, and only when heated and decarboxylated to D9-THC does it become psychoactive. THC-A has demonstrated potential effects with anti-nausea. It interacts with the endocannabinoid system differently from D9-THC, primarily affecting receptors outside the central nervous system. This means THC-A can provide benefits without causing psychoactive effects, which could make it valuable in pharmaceutical applications, especially for patients needing symptom relief without cognitive impairment. The R&D team will uncover new and important breakthroughs and bring forward new therapies from concept to commercialization in 2025 based on these concepts and also some really interesting topics from the field of research. We look forward to bringing new and innovative APIs in 2025 to support the development and growth of cannabinoid therapies. #Cannabinoids #Pharma #GMP #medicalcannabis #SouthAfrica

🛢 Today's batch focussed on the production facility - 25mg/ml THC and 25mg/ml CBD formulated with MCT oil, and primarily filled into 30 ml above bottles, capped with a white syringe adapter child-resistant lid. This product starts from locally sourced cannabis flower, processed using cold-ethanol processing to convert the products into better-tasting purified THC extract for precise dosing, which is then blended into our stainless steel formulators, and finally primary filled and capped using our ATG Pharma Inc. equipment before heading into secondary packaging based on client-specific artwork and tertiary shippers. Balanced oils are a great medical cannabis product for titration of both THC and CBD cannabinoids. #medicalcannabis #GMP #orals

Tomorrow, we have our EU GMP Part 1 audit facilitated by Cannaflos GmbH. This is part of our journey to continue progressing toward being a global leader in cannabinoid therapeutics. In the next few months, we will be able to reach newer countries and newer markets, that deserve ultra-quality medical cannabinoid products. Thank you to our team who have diligently prepared for these moments and to our leader Roxanne Potgieter for getting us across the line. To growth 🚀 🌝

This cold room was Mark Gething and I old office, as well as meeting room - taken over to store some raw materials while we grow 🤪 So we decided to take on another facility (larger than our current one) so we can expand into all possible finished dosage formats out there 😬😅 There is absolutely no way we’d be in this position without the team who honestly commits day after day and our customer support base who month after month appreciated the teams hard work. Thank you international clients for creating jobs in South Africa 🚀🇿🇦🫶🏽
