We support gifted young musicians from low income backgrounds, founded by HRH Duchess of Kent 🎶

About us

Founded in 2004 by HRH The Duchess of Kent and Nicholas Robinson, we break down barriers, create opportunities and harness the power of music to transform young lives across the UK. With over 4.5 million children living in poverty in the UK and over 1,000 children with exceptional musical abilities failed by society every year, we want to achieve an equal reality where all gifted young musicians from low-income backgrounds flourish. Through our Development & Junior Programmes, we offer unique opportunities for young musicians to build confidence, develop personal skills, and enhance their musical experience. We aim to support, develop and listen to the needs and aspirations of gifted young musicians who present challenges to their musical development. Our core is in the evolution of the young lives we affect; inspiring examples of musical talent and life development.

  • 🎉 We Did It! Thank You! 🎉 Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve reached our target of £20,000 in donations, which has been doubled to an amazing £40,000 through The Big Give! 💙 This incredible achievement will directly support young musicians from low-income backgrounds, giving them access to essential music items, lessons, instruments, and life-changing opportunities like mentoring, masterclasses, and performance experiences. 🎵 We’re so grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and supported our campaign.

  • ⏳ Only 1 day left! ⏳ Our Big Give Christmas campaign closes tomorrow at midday, and we’re so close to reaching our goal—but we still need your help to raise the final 11%! Every donation is match-funded, doubling the impact of your generosity and helping us provide life-changing opportunities for talented young musicians. 🎵 🌟 There’s still time to make a difference! 🌟 If you’ve already donated, thank you! 💙 You can still support us by sharing this post and spreading the word. Wow, what a night. Yesterday evening, Future Talent held its birthday party at The Philip Mould Gallery! Surrounded by exquisite works of art, we were treated to performances from four of Future Talent's young musicians. Well done and congratulations to Izzy, Katie, Luke and Ben for their performances - it was truly spectacular. We were joined by some very exciting special guests, thank you to our ambassador Alexander Armstrong, musician and member of Bastille Kyle Simmons, Conductor Ben Gernon, Lady Helen and Tim Taylor, and our hosts Philip and Catherine Mould. It was an unforgettable evening filled with music, art, and celebration of two decades of nurturing young talent. Thank you to everyone who came to support, you have made the last 20 years possible. Here's to the next 20! Photos: KT Bruce
