One year in (ish) to being a B Corp and we have published our first B Corp Impact Report! To be honest, I was actually a bit worried about how much progress we'd made in the last year. We've had a lot on and I'd assumed it might be minimal. Turns out I was wrong. And if nothing else, it shows that when you are a business that tries to do the right thing, tries to be better, you will naturally make positive changes across the board. Recently, I was asked to speak at the Sustainability in Business event hosted by the brilliant Regan Callender - it was a real privilege to contribute to such an engaging discussion. While progress in sustainability can sometimes feel like a hard-fought, uphill battle, the enthusiasm shown by so many young professionals and emerging leaders in the room was great to see. Who knew we could generate so much engagement on the topic of ESG materiality?! In a nutshell, without first assessing materiality - both impact & financial - your company's ESG strategy will lack direction, struggle to generate buy-in, and in the end, likely stall. As ESG is becoming an increasingly multifaceted topic, materiality brings focus. A huge thank you to Regan Callender, Yasmin Li, ANDREW KEEP & Sustainable Ventures and the entire team for putting together such a well-organised and impactful event 👏
