Friends of the Elderly is a charity that runs care homes, day care services and a grant giving programme for older people living on low incomes throughout England.
We run care homes and day care services for older people including those living with dementia and memory impairment. We have our care homes in Bedfordshire, Dorset, Essex, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Worcestershire. We work hard to make sure residents and clients live full lives, taking part in activities that are meaningful to them and having the opportunity to keep up old friendships and form new ones.
“What I like about this place is you can do what you want to do. It’s a pleasure living here. The staff are excellent.”
Through our charitable work, we provide grants for older people living on a low income and undertake projects that support older people to live fulfilled lives. We fundraise so we can continue our grants work, which older people tell us makes an extraordinary difference to their lives.
Our passionate staff are the driving force behind our work to achieve our vision. We recruit people who are dedicated to supporting older people and who want to make a genuine difference.
All money reinvested continues to drive the delivery of high-quality care for our residents and day care clients, including maintaining and improving our buildings and providing ongoing support for our staff through training, mentoring, education programmes and competitive salaries.
