Exciting progress at Drumcross as our engines are lifted into position! Drumcross will soon become the 12th operational site in the Forsa fleet, utilising fast start, high efficiency, H2 ready generators. Once up and running, the site will be capable of exporting 20MW of electricity at short notice to the local distribution network during times of high demand and low renewable output, efficiently supporting security of supply during the energy transition.
About us
Forsa Energy is a UK based company formed in 2017 to develop, construct, own and operate flexible gas generation and energy storage assets. However its genesis stretches further back to 2011 when it started life as a renewables developer. Forsa Energy has a history of developing & operating power generation. Under its previous name Velocita, the team developed, built & financed a sizeable renewable portfolio divesting the French renewable platform & UK operational & in-construction assets to institutional investors in 2016/17. In 2017, the business rebranded and entered the flexible gas generation market to meet the UK’s strategic need for flexibility with power generation. The Company is now part of private equity group Tiger Infrastructure Partners network and resource portfolio. Tiger has over $1.7bn under management and has currently 19 portfolio companies.

Carrington is Operational! We are thrilled to announce that our newest flexible generation site at Carrington is now fully operational. Constructed by Clarke Energy acting as the principal contractor, Carrington is capable of generating up to 40.5MW of electricity into the ENWL network. The site houses 9* 4.5MW Jenbacher engines, each capable of ramping up to full capacity in just 5 minutes. Carrington was awarded a Capacity Market contract by National Grid ESO in 2019 and will therefore contribute to the UK’s primary mechanism for ensuring a stable and secure supply of electricity. We would like to extend our thanks to Clarke Energy, Green Frog Utilities, and ENWL for their excellent work on site.
