In the new format, a portion of the product image gallery is now displayed alongside the product video. Previously, the ad format was limited to just the video and the main image. This change is a game-changer for advertisers. 🍬 If you sell food and drink on Amazon, there are a few compliance policies you’ll need to be aware of for healthy listings and happy customers. Here are a few main points that you should keep in mind for selling your products: 🧁 Avoid false or misleading claims 🥫 Avoid health or medicinal claims (e.g., implying that health could be affected by not consuming the food or drink, referencing a rate or amount of weight loss, or implying that a balanced diet cannot provide the necessary nutrients) 🍅 Make sure that any nutritional claims are correct depending on their quantity (e.g., you can a food is “low fat” only if the product contains no more than 3g of fat per 100g) 🍫 Check that you have supplied information for required attributes: Is product expirable?, Product expiration type, and Fulfilment Centre Shelf Life (this should be given in ‘days’) 🍩 FBA products should be new, have valid barcodes, and have labels in the language of the relevant marketplace 🧀 Seller Fulfilled goods must be lot-controlled and received by the customer with sufficient time for use, should be clearly labelled with expiry or manufacturing dates, and have acceptable date formats (DD/MM/YYYY, MM/YYYY, or DD/JAN/YYYY) If you’re selling in the US marketplace, Amazon’s system stores the expiration date information in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) – due to time-zone conversions, the expiry date on the box label might differ from what you originally entered. Any items that are past their expiration date at the time they arrive at Amazon fulfilment centres will be marked for disposal, and cannot be returned to you. Expiration-dated products must be fully enclosed and sealed in packaging that is suitable for shipping.
