🚨FOOD INDUSTRY NEWS🚨 A group of four federal agencies, including the FDA, announced that it is requesting information from the food industry on labelling practices and preferences, as well as for research results on how consumers perceive date labels and any related impacts on food waste. The public is also encouraged to share its perceptions, with comments accepted through Feb. 3, 2025. This effort is a crucial first step toward possible regulation, which could save food from unnecessarily being trashed. 🚨FOOD INDUSTRY NEWS🚨 Delivery Hero will hire freelance riders at its Glovo unit in Spain as full-time employees, warning of a 100 million euro ($105 million) hit to earnings and sending its shares down almost 10%. Between 2022 and 2023, Spain fined Glovo for not formally hiring riders. Glovo had appealed the fines imposed by the labour ministry in court and has won some of the cases.
