🎓 "At 20, I graduated with an MSc and soared to the top of my class!" 🎓 I am thrilled to announce my graduation from Birmingham City University with a Master of Science in Computer Science, achieving a distinction with an impressive average mark of 81.89. This milestone is not just about obtaining a degree; it's a testament to what young minds can achieve with determination and passion. The road to this moment has been filled with both challenges and triumphs. Being honoured as the top graduating student is not just a personal achievement but a moment of pride that I share with all who supported me through this journey. A heartfelt thank you to my supervisor, Debashish Das, PhD, for your guidance and wisdom throughout my academic journey. Your mentorship has been invaluable. To my friends and family, Dansteve Adekanbi, Darasteve Adekanbi, BA, PGD, MA, PHRi☑️, Damipesteve Adekanbi, Oluwadolapo Ajibola, Timilehin Jegede, Itohowo UDOFIA, Emmanuel Adebayo, Chukwuemeka Emeruwa, OLANREWAJU CLEMENT, Jesutomiwa Solomon, Deborah Dada, your unwavering support and belief in my potential have transformed this experience from ordinary to extraordinary. At the recent Flutter Birmingham event(Flutter Birmingham) , I spoke about Flutter x Graphql (Integrate Graphql into your flutter application using Ferry🛳 ) Spoke about Graphql concepts, it advantages and how best to integrate it into your flutter app 📱 Link to my slide -> http://tiny.cc/t2q3yz The second speaker was Duncan Adjei He spoke on BDD (Behavioural driven design) ⚒ You basically write your test in plain English and it would be converted to corresponding dart code 👨💻 I don’t know why more people don’t use this 🙂 Link to his slide -> http://tiny.cc/07u5yz Some pictures from the event 😊

Excited to have been part of the organizing team for the successful Flutter Birmingham meetup event! While my core expertise lies in the field of design, it still was an invaluable opportunity to network with developers and dive into discussions at the intersection of design and development. Huge shoutout to Josteve Adekanbi and the amazing speakers who made the event a resounding success! 🙌🏽 🚀 Follow Flutter Birmingham for more updates about future events! #Flutter #FlutterBrum #FlutterThrive #TechMeetup

Early this week I had the amazing opportunity to talk to two people about my experiences over the years. Two key skills I discussed with them was how #versatile and #adaptable I have been across these years. The following day, 14th of May, 2024, I attended Flutter Birmingham (pictures attached). You see, on this versatility and adaptability, as a Software Engineer who has been focused on the #backend, #devops and #architectural #design part of software products, I had enjoyed implementing a few of my side mobile application projects in the #flutter framework. Attending this event really exposed me to some of the improvements #flutter has made, I got to ask a few questions and I got amazing and clear answers. I got back home doing more research and learning about other areas the framework had improved on. A key improvement is the introduction of a new rendering engine, Impeller, to tackle janks. I have a few “side-projects” in mind and I have been trying to make a decision on which of the frameworks out there to use to complement my skills and support my use-cases. Like I was discussing with the host, Josteve Adekanbi, I must admit, this event enabled me realise how #flutter has improved and is capable for my use-cases. The event was equipped with great hosting, a beautiful and relaxed venue, amazing connections, bright minds, fun, and some give-aways. I learnt about how #graphql is being handled in #flutter and also an interesting concept called Behavioural Driven Development (#BDD), which is beneficial especially if you handle products that involve a lot of people as it helps products to be documented and designed around the behaviour users expect. If you are around #Birmingham, I encourage you to attend Flutter Birmingham's next event. Kudos to the organising team and I look forward to attending next events. Cheers.
