We’re creating a vibrant, collaborative environment for start-ups and spinouts on their commercialisation journey to help them succeed and thrive. If you’re developing a material, process, or technology to achieve net zero, are looking to commercialise or would like to invest in these types of innovative business we’d love to meet you. Fantastic to visit the #PaperYard in Canada Water with Lucy Smith yesterday to see their brand-new state of the art facility! The mixture of lab and office space is allowing innovators to customise their set-up, develop and scale key technologies within a highly sustainable environment. The modular build in itself is inspiring, with each unit expertly tailored to each tenant’s needs and allowing companies to evolve within this flexible environment, and we can see the breakout spaces being fantastic for cross-pollination conversations and workshops! Congratulations to British Land and all of their partners on an incredible set-up that has been creatively designed with customers and innovation at its heart. Huge thanks to Josh Lamb and Georgia Hogg for hosting our visit – it was great to talk about how we join up thriving innovation centres in London with the facilities across FIVe - Foundation Industries Ventures and FISC (Foundation Industries Sustainability Consortium) to help innovators take their hard-tech to the next scale and facilitate industry adoption. Agile, flexible facilities are undoubtably the future and FIVe would love to hear from innovators in the hard-tech x climate-tech crossover as to what they require to scale and grow and how we can help as a convening partner.
