Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) content is crucial for finance. Any content about finance must be accurate, or Google will punish the #SEO rankings. Compliance with the FCA is also crucial. Here's everything you need to know about it 👇 https://lnkd.in/e8iW7dSz

What is financial copywriting? Financial copywriting is a form of copywriting that is specifically focused on finance. This requires a knowledge of finance and the markets as a whole. Plus, financial copywriters, if writing for SEO reasons or marketing, must also tailor their language to fit with not only YMYL requirements set by Google but also ensure that the copy is FCA compliant. https://lnkd.in/emrizRAr

There is a problem in #SEO which I think #AI is going to make a lot worse. Okay so, neither Google or Gemini can actually determine truth. As robots, they can only reference what other people have said is true. However, the big issue is that this becomes what is true. I realised this earlier this year when trying to find out how many currencies were pegged to the US dollar in order to write an article. If you search for the answer now, you will get: - Ava Trade saying “over 66 currencies” - The Balance saying “at least 66 currencies” - Investopedia saying “more than 65” - A LinkedIn article by Andrew J. Bilden assertively saying “65” After going down the endless interlinking rabbit hole, I realised that nobody has the answer. It's the same for so many other 'facts' on the internet. Everyone is just copying the data from each other, reinforcing it with this web of data that then makes it true. And as an SEO copywriter, I'm inevitably adding to it. Naturally, I want to do the best job possible for my clients. This involves financial accuracy, and delivering high-traffic articles. Here’s the problem: if I counted the number to be actually, for example, 62 currencies, and I put this in the article, Google may mark this as incorrect and punish the ranking. As every single other article says 66, or 65, then if I put something different, it will stand out, and most likely be considered wrong, unless I can prove it extensively, which I can’t. So when I wrote the article, I went with 65, and reinforced the mystery number, which is 'correct' but who knows if it's actually correct. I became another link in the chain. AI will strengthen this even more, because it will build even more layers on this fake chain, and now with AI Overviews and SearchGPT on the way, it will deliver facts in a snippet format, rather than in a website format. It will be harder to know where facts originated from. Although having said all this, maybe John Backflip's story is real?

The finance world is on the brink of change. According to a report from The World Bank, up to 1.4 billion people worldwide remain unbanked. But at the same time, financial inclusion is rapidly rising – hand-in-hand with mobile phone adoption. The World Bank also reports that in some South Asian Economies, over half of unbanked adults have a mobile phone. Their first step into banking is therefore likely to be digital. According to the Global Findex Database, mobile money accounts are on the rise. Exposure to financial content is incredibly important. At Finnus, we produce content that appeals to this new digital generation. With combined knowledge from old banks to new digital wallets, we know exactly how to appeal to the new customer, and those on board with the evolution of the financial sector. Contact us today to find out what we can do for you.

I started my own copywriting business earlier this year. Off the back of my freelance #copywriting, I discovered a huge demand for accurate content in the finance space – particularly with #YMYL now in #SEO. Content that makes finance easy to understand is also crucial. It’s so easy to forget how esoteric financial content can be. The cynic in me says maybe it's that way for a reason. Years ago, I remember Googling “what is a stock”, reading the Wikipedia page, and being completely lost. What we do at Finnus is not only tackle the ocean of SEO and bring in traffic but also explain financial concepts in a way that people understand. And people who understand where their money is going are more likely to stay. -------------------- P.S. Thanks to the iconic Elspeth Vincent for the recent photoshoot 📸 Unbelievable talent for capturing people and lifestyle - I couldn’t recommend her more.

Most exchanges and models of monetary exchange that we know are via a central exchange – for example, a bank 🏦 But the issue is that a centralised exchange owns and controls your money. And with CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies) on the horizon, banks will soon have even more control than ever. Your pounds will be 'digital pounds' soon. Platforms like Uniswap Labs are decentralised exchanges (DEXs), meaning that they have devised a way to provide liquidity without anyone ‘owning’ the money – essentially, everyone collectively owns their own currency. Uniswap has paved the way for years, and is set to release v4 in Q3 of 2024. As CBDCs start to roll out, expect to see DEXs like Uniswap spike in popularity 🚀 #uniswap #crypto #cbdc #dex https://lnkd.in/dTRVF-VS

#Finance and #forex brands are often looking for a way to boost their online presence and attract both B2B and B2C clients. An SEO-focused content strategy is the solution. Published in August 2023, this one finance article I wrote has been bringing in between 10,000 and 20,000 clicks per month – every month since publication. 👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/e4pYXnPm Using a simple #SEO strategy, it's managed to cover and maintain over 1.2k keywords and produce hundreds of featured snippets 📈
