This #GivingTuesday we are saying a huge thank you to all our donors, members, customers and supporters who have enabled our charity to continue giving fantastic outdoor experiences to children who need our help the most. Every year we are able to deliver fantastic learning residentials, day experiences and even our Young Darwin Scholarship thanks to the financial support we receive from people like you, who support our belief that everyone should have access to quality learning in nature. These experiences really do change lives. We would like to say a special thank you to Patricia de Haan, who visited our Shropshire centre earlier this year, and was very happy to share her story and explain to us why she would like her generous donation of £10,000 to go towards supporting the Young Darwin Scholarship. Meet Hugo Stevenson, he caught the bookbinding bug!📚 We have run a Bookbinding course at Flatford Mill for many, many years. Little did Hugo know that after attending the course, it would start a major career change and the start of a new business. Hugo attended one of our Bookbinding for Beginners and Improvers courses with expert bookbinder Mark Cockram. His love for repairing and rebinding old books combined with a dramatic shift in his PHD studies meant that Hugo left his doctorate to start his own bookbinding business, Aulwynd Bindery.
