Currently we're on the hunt for more delivery drivers to volunteer at our local depots and deliver great quality food to our community groups. This is a fantastic way to use your volunteering time through work and make a real difference to people in your communities. We currently support over 350 charities and community organisations with regular deliveries of food. Stop! Want to make a real difference? In the UK we waste enough 🍎 🥩 🥧 to feed every citizen 3 meals a day for 11 weeks a year. At the same time 1 in 8 people face food insecurity. From farm gate to factory, there are hundreds of millions of meals worth of food which are wasted that needn’t be. Overproduction, over-ordering, minor quality rejections and shelf life are major causes. We currently contribute to 94,000 meals each week but our waiting list of charitable organisations is long and the opportunity to scale up is vast. As our Warehouse Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring food reaches those who need it most, while supporting and mentoring our amazing team of volunteers. We support FixOurFood and North Yorkshire Council and will continue to help however we can to influence positive change in these areas.
