  • * Equitix and partners receive approval to progress innovative joint development of two offshore wind farms: a UK first. * The new ownership structure enables a cost-effective joint development of the two projects whilst minimising environmental and local impact in Norfolk, contributing positively to the UK’s ambition of delivering clean power by 2030. The operational Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon Offshore wind farms currently power around 710,000 UK homes. The Extension Project aims to power nearly 1.5 million UK homes and generate over £370 million in direct gross value added (GVA) to the East Anglia and UK economy. Read the full details here: https://lnkd.in/eXmUB33F Partners of the two projects have agreed to a joint ownership structure in one legal entity, subject to regulatory approvals being obtained before closing. The Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm is owned by Equinor, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and China Resources Group, whilst Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm is owned by Equinor, a subsidiary of Equitix Offshore 3 Ltd (co-owned by funds managed by Equitix and The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited (TRIG) and Macquarie Asset Management (via Macquarie GIG Renewable Energy Fund 1). #infrastructuretolife #partners #renewablepower #offshorewind #cleanenergy #2030 #infrastructure #investUK Image: Sheringham Shoal | Credit: Equinor

Equitix increases commitment to I-75 Modernisation Project in the U.S with a 100% stake John Laing (JLIL), the holding company for joint shareholders Equitix and John Laing (which is wholly owned by KKR) announce the acquisition of the remaining shareholder stakes in the I-75 Modernisation Project in Michigan, U.S. The project involves the modernisation of a crucial corridor - Segment 3 of the I-75 in southeast Michigan, near Detroit - to include a portion of the state’s first High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane and a critical drainage tunnel under the freeway designed to alleviate flooding in the corridor. The project involved the complete reconstruction of 5.5-miles of I-75 from 8 Mile Road to north of 13 Mile Road. The modernisation project deploys innovations that ease congestion, enhance safety, reduce cost and was delivered on an expedited five-year schedule. Prior to this acquisition, a 70% stake was held in Oakland Corridor Partners, playing a role in financing and actively managing delivery of critical long-term improvements to this highway project, accelerating completion of the upgrade by up to 12 years. Equitix CIO, Achal Bhuwania said, “This additional stake in the I-75 project cements our continued commitment to the North American market while fulfilling the next stage of the asset’s life to improve efficiencies, enhance safety measures and boost connectivity for local communities.” #infrastructure #transport #criticalinfrastructure #connectivity #northamerica #infrastructuretolife

Equitix Managing Director, Amanda Leness joined the panel at yesterday's IPFA roundtable on diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace for women. Panellists and the Women's Infrastructure Network talked about what it means to be a role model for other women in the early stages of their career, acting as an ally and the steps required to build an inclusive working environment - topics which we covered in our event earlier this year as part of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY (MARCH 8). Equitix is committed to continuing these conversations and supporting females in the workplace to ensure we provide an equal, diverse and inclusive environment. #equality #diversity #inclusion #WIN #IPFA #infrastructuretolife
