Fantastic new publication by Northumbria researcher Tiago Teixeira.
I just published in Economic Geography. In my paper, I examine how the Brazilian state established Embraer, one of the largest aerospace companies in the world today. I also discuss how Embraer was privatized in the 1990s, and as a result, fostered a process of social downgrading that was detrimental to its engineering workforce. If you are interested in state-firm relations, global production networks, strategic (indigenous) coupling, and labor, please feel free to access the paper in the link below. https://lnkd.in/eUhbXhTB
