Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)'s Simpler Recycling Legislation will be in place from 31st March 2025. The Simpler Recycling initiative is setting new requirements for local authorities, businesses, and households, focusing on separating waste recyclable materials from general waste. This includes food waste, paper/card, and other dry recyclables like plastic, metal, and glass. The purpose is to make recycling easier by having the same regulations in place whether at home or in the work place. Avoid environmental incidents, drain blockages and chamber overflows with regular interceptor maintenance and forecourt cleaning. Environmental incidents, drain blockages and chamber overflows can be easily avoided with regular interceptor cleaning and maintenance. To avoid the build-up of grit and dirt, interceptors must be cleaned and emptied regularly. Our experts plan appropriate interceptor cleaning solutions, ensuring that tanks are drained and managed responsibly. It is generally advised that you have your interceptor cleaned and maintained by accredited professionals, at least every three to six months. Additional cleaning and maintenance may also be required after any major rainstorms or events that may have caused additional debris to collect in the system. At Enva we innovate to create sustainability value for our customers through low carbon secondary materials such as our Recycled Ash Aggregate, used as a replacement for aggregate/sand, achieving 88% CO2 avoidance vs virgin. Increased demand for sustainable energy from waste and biomass has resulted in increased tonnages of Air Pollution Control residues (APCr) or ‘fly ash’. The ash, which would previously have been destined for disposal in hazardous landfill sites, is washed to remove contaminants and then combined with other materials to create a sustainable, concrete product. Our patented process and state-of-the-art ash recycling plant treats up to 20,000 tonnes each year. #Recycling #SustainableConstruction #WasteReduction #FlyAsh #CircularEconomy #ConcreteRecycling #ConstructionInnovation #WeAreEnva

Waste oil can be defined as any oil that has been used, or oil that is unsuitable for its purpose. As a hazardous waste, waste oil disposal should be carefully considered. Read our tips for the safe, best practice management of waste oil – storage, collection, and recovery here: https://lnkd.in/eAzwrG9n Waste oil collected by Enva is manufactured back into a re-refined base oil (ULO) product that can be recollected and reprocessed multiple times. We don’t simply collect waste – we transform it. #WasteOil #HazardousWaste #SustainablePractices #OilDisposal #WasteManagement #RecyclingTips #OilRecovery #SafeDisposal #WeAreEnva

This Cyber Monday we’re putting a spotlight on WEEE Recycling: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment such as fridges, microwaves and washing machines, or smaller items lying forgotten in a drawer like mobile phones, old games consoles and chargers. With tech usage soaring, effective recycling is more crucial than ever. Even small electricals can contain valuable materials such as gold, silver and rare earth metals. Recycling helps reduce landfill and the environmental impact of mining for new materials. If you're having a clear out in the lead up to Christmas, ensure you dispose of any unwanted electrical goods responsibly.
