Realise, a training provider that supports more than 16,500 learners a year across the UK, is targeting expansion through acquisitions after agreeing a multimillion-pound funding deal with OakNorth. Realise, which has its headquarters in Sheffield, employs more than 500 people across England and focuses its apprenticeship offering around early years and education, health and social care, business skills and transport. CEO, Gregg Scott, said: "We have an ambitious business growth strategy which we will be delivering in 2025 and beyond and partnering with OakNorth has given us the opportunity to continue seeking the acquisitions which we believe are crucial to our future progression.”

Hattrick at the Insider Media Yorkshire Dealmakers! After scooping both Dealmaker of the Year and Equity Funder of the Year, we made it a hattrick of accolades at the Yorkshire Dealmakers last week with the Sale of Sewtec Automation to Automated Industrial Robotics winning International Deal of the Year. A huge congratulations to everyone involved. It’s great to see such strong recognition across the board following a fantastic year for the team.

Equity Funder of the Year! Following on from our Northwest win last month, our Leeds team also took home the Insider Media Equity Funder of the Year award at the Yorkshire Dealmakers last week. Well done to the entire team for their consistent hard work and well-earned recognition.

Andrew Ross is Yorkshire Insider Media Dealmaker of the Year! The judges said Andy should be recognised this year for his part in the substantial exits of Findel and Sewtec Automation, as well as the acquisition of ASCO and subsequent refinancing. They commended his ability to manage market complexities and create sustainable business growth. Congratulations to Andy for his well-deserved recognition.

Aidan Robson joined a panel at the Real Deals value creation conference last week where he shared insights on Buy-and-build strategies. Anyone who attended will agree that it was a very interesting discussion at a great event.
