🎉 Exciting #2025 Announcement! 🎉 #itscoming2025 Who would have thought I’d one day write my own memoir about little Steven’s life? Yet here we are. I’m thrilled to share that my book “Drip by Drip, Day by Day – A Pain to Purpose Story” is set to be released in May/June 2025! To make this milestone even more special, we’re planning a celebration book signing event in July 2025 to coincide with my 40th birthday (yes, the big 4-0!). 🌟 The Vision This will be a day to honour the theme of pain to purpose, bringing together an incredible community to celebrate resilience, hope, and transformation. We’re envisioning a book signing/seminar-style event with inspiring speakers and opportunities for sponsors to shine, and young people showcasing their talents. 🎶 The Evening We’ll light up the night with a celebration filled with Caribbean food, music, and a vibrant atmosphere. I’m even hoping my foster mum Eunice will step in as the culinary superstar of the night (cooking for a few hundred? Piece of cake, right? 😅). 📍 The Location We’re aiming for a venue in my hometown, Birmingham. Aston Villa Football Club would be a dream, but we’re exploring other options too that fit the budget. 💡 How You Can Get Involved We’re currently looking for sponsors to help make this event truly special. If you’d like to contribute or be part of the day, we’d love to hear from you. We’re also taking early expressions of interest for tickets—reach out to Amelia Gerard at [email protected] to reserve your spot on the priority list! This will be a day of reflection, connection, and celebration—a true testament to turning pain into purpose. Don’t miss your chance to be part of something extraordinary. Here’s to making this event an unforgettable experience! 💜 [email protected] #DripByDrip #PainToPurpose #StevenRussellMemoir #BookLaunch #CelebrationEvent #Resilience #Hope #Transformation #CommunityMatters #BirminghamEvents #CaribbeanFood #Speakers #TalentShowcase #Inspiration #FromPainToPurpose #40thBirthdayCelebration #WellbeingJourney #SupportAndSponsorship #StevenRussell

🌟 Empowering Young Voices Through the Peer Elementorship! 🌟 Hello #LinkedInfamily! 👋 I’m Steven Russell, the Founding Director of Elements Support, where our mission since 2020 has been simple yet powerful—to champion the well-being of children and young people. 💛 Together with my amazing colleague Susanna Smith 💛, we’re thrilled to co-lead the Peer Elementorship Programme —a life-changing initiative designed to unlock the potential of young people while helping them inspire and support others. 🌈 👩🏫 Meet Susanna! Since joining Elements in 2023 as Operations Director, Susanna has brought her expertise as an environmental psychologist to the table. She’s passionate about creating warm, welcoming spaces and helping young people grow into incredible mentors. Together, we’re proving that the power of peer support can change lives. 🙌 💡 What is the Peer Elementorship Programme? This isn’t just any mentorship programme—it’s a MOVEMENT! ✨ Our programme equips young people aged 14-25 with essential skills in empathy, communication, and leadership through dynamic mentorship exchanges. 🌟 Young people step into the roles of mentor AND mentee, creating a support system where shared experiences foster understanding, growth, and confidence. Some of the incredible benefits include: 👨🎓 For Mentees: Improved academic engagement, better mental well-being, and communication skills to tackle challenges head-on. 🤝 For Peer Elementors: Leadership development, increased empathy, and a sense of fulfillment knowing they’ve made a difference. 🌍 For The Community: Stronger social bonds, reduced bullying, and a ripple effect of empowerment everywhere we work! 💬 As our saying goes, "Supporting young people to support young people." And we believe in the POWER of 1 —sometimes, just one caring person can transform another’s life forever. 💫 📚 How Elements Support CIC is Shaping the Future! At Elements Support and our sister company, Elements Education & Training, we go beyond the ordinary. From empowering professionals in education, care homes, and even prisons, to equipping children and teenagers with life-changing tools, we’re building a brighter, more connected future for everyone. 💛 🌟 If you’re as excited about empowering young voices as we are, join us in this transformational work. Together, we can create a community built on trust, compassion, and positive change. 💪 #YouthEmpowerment #Mentorship #CommunitySupport #LeadershipDevelopment #Education #ElementsSupport #Wellbeing #TogetherWeThrive #PositiveChange Get in touch today to learn more [email protected]

🌟 Drip by Drip, Day by Day, We Find a Way, by Steven Russell A single drip, the smallest sound, Yet in its echo, hope is found. It may not stir the vastest seas, But it holds the power to plant new seeds. Apathy stands, a bitter frost, Sympathy lingers, distant, lost. But empathy reaches—straight to the heart, Where resilience blooms in every part. For children in care, who've faced the storm, Disconnection becomes their norm. Yet with connection, with every stay, We walk beside them, day by day. The power of one—a smile, a hand, Can light a path, and help them stand. “I see you, I’m here,” we softly say, And watch the ice as it melts away. Each drip brings healing, a chance to grow, Through love and care, their courage shows. They are not too broken, not lost, not gone, Through empathy’s warmth, they're carried on. Together, we shine bright; together, we stay, Drip by drip, day by day. We find a way. We are the way. At Elements Support CIC Support, we believe in the power of connection, healing, and hope. For every child in care, the smallest act of compassion can create waves of transformation. Let's keep building brighter futures, one drip at a time. #Empathy #Connection #ChildreninCare #HopeMatters #WeFindAWay

⚠️ Content Warning: This post discusses #suicide and loss. Please take care while reading. 💔 January sees a rise in suicide statistics. Let's talk, support, and act with compassion. Research shows that January often sees a tragic increase in suicide rates. Post-holiday pressures, financial stress, and feelings of isolation can become overwhelming during this time. It’s vital that we approach this subject with sensitivity—not just in action, but also in language. Why We Say "Death by Suicide" The term "committed suicide" is rooted in outdated ideas, suggesting crime or wrongdoing. Using terms like "death by suicide" or "has taken their life" helps remove stigma, fostering understanding and respect. Language impacts how we think and feel, and compassionate words can open a path to healing. If You’re Struggling With Suicidal Thoughts, Here Are 2 Ways To Find Support: 1️⃣ Speak to Someone You Can Trust: Whether it's a friend, family member, or professional, reaching out to someone can be the first step toward relief. Sharing your feelings isn’t a burden—people want to help. 🌱 2️⃣ Take One Step at a Time: Life can feel overwhelming when we try to face everything at once. Focus on small, manageable tasks. Even the smallest step forward is progress. 🌟 You can contact Papyrus HOPELINEUK at 0800 068 41 41, or explore their resources online at www.papyrus-uk.org. Allow Yourself to Grieve Fully: There’s no right or wrong way to process such loss. Be gentle on yourself and give yourself permission to feel whatever comes your way—pain, confusion, even anger. It's all valid. 🤍 🌈 2. Surround Yourself With Support: Whether it's close friends, family, or bereavement groups, leaning on people you trust can help ease the weight of grief. Organisations like Winston's Wish provide tailored support for children coping with loss—visit www.winstonswish.org to learn more. You don’t have to face this alone. 🌟 ✅ PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide UK – Suicide prevention for young people under 35. Project N-GAGE is not just another initiative; it’s an 8-week transformational experience for students aged 12-16. Here's what we’ve achieved so far—and how we can bring this positive change to your school in 2025! 📊 The Outcomes Speak Volumes: 98% attendance rate across all sessions—proving our students WANT to show up and grow. 76% reported improved emotional regulation, helping them handle conflict and stress better. 87% of participants enhanced their communication skills, using these tools to rebuild relationships with teachers and peers. 💡 Our Approach Changes Lives: Through creative and reflective tasks designed to inspire, students have shared life-changing experiences. From gratitude mug designs in Week 5 to exploring self-perception through mask-making in Week 2, confidence and self-awareness have flourished. 🌊 "Drip by Drip, Day by Day, We Find a Way." 💧 This simple metaphor holds profound meaning—especially when we think about children growing up in a world that may feel cold, distant, or uncertain. Many young people face invisible struggles, feeling like they don't belong, caught behind walls of isolation and uncertainty. How do we break through that ice around them? 💧 #Apathy keeps us disconnected, believing "it's not my problem." 💧 #Sympathy tries to help but often maintains a distance, lacking true warmth. 💧 But #Empathy? It radiates warmth. Empathy says, "I see you. I’m here. You’re not alone." It doesn't demand perfect answers; it offers stability, reliability, and care. And just like how warmth touches the ice, change happens slowly. Drip by Drip, Day by Day, the ice will begin to melt. 🌟 #MotherTeresa once said, “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” Our small moments of care may feel like drops—but even one drop of empathy makes all the difference. #THEPOWEROF1 Because while a single drop may not change the ocean, the ocean transforms the drop. 👀 To nurture belonging for our children and young people, we must create environments that nurture their growth, surround them with warmth, and remind them daily that they matter. We are all drops in a greater ocean—and we all have the power to create waves of connection. 🌊 #DripByDrip #EmpathyMatters #GrowthAndBelonging #KindnessCounts #MentalHealthSupport #ChildDevelopment #MakeADifference

This is an incredible feedback shared by Steven Russell in collaboration with Herefordshire Council foster carers.
✨ Thrilled to share this! ✨ I am beyond excited to highlight the fantastic feedback video from our recent collaboration between Elements Support CIC and Herefordshire Council. 😃 A massive thank you to the incredible Katie Pullin for making this happen – you’re a star! 🌟 After a successful first pilot run with Telford & Wrekin Children's Social Care in 2023, we launched pilot 2.0 in Herefordshire, and it’s safe to say… it just keeps getting better. 💪 Shout out to Daniel Chell Kelly Burgess Sara Castro Carers have described this experience as #real, #raw, #honest, and that sums up what I aim for. This isn't just “training.” It's something much deeper. "This is not conventional, mandatory training. This is a care-experienced person inspiring us from their own lived experiences, backed up with professional expertise." Over the last seven weeks, we’ve built something so special with this group. Carers came together and formed a strong support network, sharing experiences and understanding the unique challenges faced by both kinship and foster carers. The connection among them has been extraordinary – it’s been an honour to witness. 💛 Now, we’re looking for fostering agencies and local authorities who want to come on board for pilot 3.0. We have a goal to run five pilots and work towards official accreditation, we’re inviting you and your carers to be a part of this incredible journey in 2025. 📩 Interested? Drop me an email at [email protected] to learn more. Together, we can create a brighter, more supportive future for foster and kinship carers. 🌟 Drip by Drip, Day by Day, we find a way! #fostercare #fostering #inspirational #kinshipcare #fosteringtraining#SocialCare #ChildWelfare #CommunitySupport #CareExperience #FosterFamily
