Step 1 - Be clear on the irresistible reason best in market talent will want to join forces with you. Step 2 - Map out your entire market sector with all those individuals who are already delivering the outcome your new role requires. You can also include any stand out applications to any job adverts you may have running. Step 3 - Professionally and discreetly pitch your role to those individuals you’ve identified in Step 2. Step 4 - Shortlist those individuals who’ve expressed an interest to proceed with an application. Step 5 - Ensure every shortlisted candidate answers the same role relevant competency based questions so you can compare apples with apples. Step 6 - Review the career history, answers to compentecy questions, any references taken and decide on the best 3 candidates to interview from the shortlist. There you have it. 🌿Tech funding green shoots seem to be growing 🚀 The latest global tech investment news since our last post in May is getting noticeably busier. Enjoy! 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (𝘁/𝗮 𝗥𝘄𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵) 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 £𝟭.𝟯𝟳 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔 - Real World Health has closed a £1.37 million funding round to help the NHS make better use of its data and address critical challenges like surgery backlogs and mental health. The funding round was led by Maven Capital Partners with support from Dowgate Capital, with the money targeted at supporting the commercialisation and expansion of Real World Health’s solutions that enable NHS organisations to capitalise on its data to improve patient care. Gener8, a free-to-use app empowering people to control and be rewarded from their data – has announced a £2m funding round, valuing the company at £39m. A consortium of investors participated in the round and joined past investors including musician Tinie Tempah, legendary football manager, Harry Redknapp, and Dragons’ Den stars, Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Tej Lalvani, among others. Rendesco, a London-headquartered clean heat network developer and owner-operator, has raised £6 million in funding. The new investment has been led by Clean Growth Fund (which invested in Kamma and HutanBio) Eurazeo’s Smart City fund, and Aviva Ventures (which invested in HealthKey and Hyperexponential). They join existing investor Copley Point Capital. Echion Technologies, which develops niobium-based, fast-charging battery materials, has snapped $35 million in Series B funding. The round was led by specialist battery and energy storage technology investor Volta Energy Technologies (Volta), with participation from existing investors CBMM, BGF (invested in Kooth and Wobble Genomics), and Cambridge Enterprise Ventures. Notably, Echion is Volta’s first investment in a European-headquartered company. Headquartered in Dublin and London, AccountsIQ, a cloud-based accounting platform, has secured €60 million in Series C investment. The round was led by a London-based specialist B2B SaaS growth equity fund - Axiom Equity. YoLa Fresh, an innovative Moroccan agri-tech startup, has successfully raised US$7 million in a pre-Series A funding round to fuel its expansion. YoLa Fresh is dedicated to creating a transparent and sustainable fresh food supply network. Leading this US$7 million pre-Series A funding round was Al Mada Ventures, with participation from Algebra Ventures, E3 Capital , Janngo Capital, and FMO - Dutch entrepreneurial development bank.
