🚀 New Gemini Report Published by the Digital Twin Hub I'm pleased to announce the release of the 'Data Sharing Initiatives – High-level landscape snapshot'. This collaborative report was published by the Digital Twin Hub's Data Sharing Working Group (thanks to all that contributed). Government and industry increasingly recognise the critical need to share data efficiently and effectively to tackle the missions of our time. The case for robust Data Sharing Infrastructure—enabling safe, seamless, and secure data sharing across organisations and sectors—has never been stronger. While opinions differ on the “how” and “where” of government intervention and funding, one thing is clear: Coordination is key. This report represents an important step towards understanding the landscape of data sharing initiatives and identifying where to intervene, fund, and coordinate efforts. The report emphasizes the urgent need for greater alignment across: - Governance - Legal frameworks - Data interoperability - Security and trust It’s not about rigid, centralised, top-down guidance. Instead, the way forward lies in collaboratively driven support that fosters consensus around flexible yet common solutions. These adaptable approaches can be applied across sectors, reducing the costs and risks associated with data sharing. 💡What do young people think about a future with digital twins?💡 The DT Hub has been proud to support a digital twin story writing competition organised by King's College London in association with science fiction writer Stephen Oram. Students from City of London Schools were invited to write stories with a digital twin theme: Mirror machine: digital twins that model, shadow and affect the real world. Everyone was given the writing prompt, “What if an all-seeing, all-knowing machine could connect every dot of data and replicate the world – the flow of planes and of cars, of energy and of people, of healthy cells and of diseased cells?
