“Any invention, wrapped in a cradle-to-grave system that turns the central nugget of value into a useful, sustainable service, will require human skills and efforts to keep it going. AI is certainly no exception: ‘There's a growing global workforce of millions toiling to make AI run smoothly. It's gruntwork that needs to be done accurately and fast,’ noted the US TV news program ‘60 Minutes’ in a recent telecast about the data tagging industry in Kenya… The supply curve will not be ‘flat and free.’” diginomica https://lnkd.in/gBaitxtK

One of the best parts of my job is seeing the incredible use cases that our customers implement using Astronomer, Apache Airflow and the power of data orchestration. One of the coolest examples is how the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series champion Texas Rangers Baseball Club use Astro to not only help them win games, but to also accelerate data delivery time by an entire 24 hours - without incurring any additional costs of new compute. Astro’s worker queue feature ensures CPU-intensive tasks, such as real-time analytics, receive dedicated computing power to significantly improve performance. As a result, the Rangers reduced pipeline processing times by over 80%, allowing them to process multiple additional pipelines in parallel and deliver game-day analytics much more efficiently. ⚾ Read more in this diginomica article: https://lnkd.in/eHPW7amV
