Ozone hole 2024: back to average, but what does it tell us? Discover the details behind #CopernicusAtmosphere observations https://lnkd.in/dyjyRANR After four years of unusually large and persistent ozone holes, 2024 marked a return to historical averages. 🕳️ The ozone hole peaked at 21.95M km², smaller than 2023 and previous years 📅 Closure occurred in early December, aligning with long-term averages from 1979–2021 🌐 Seasonal dynamics, including stratospheric warming events, played a crucial role.
