Congratulations to the team at Ospedale Sant'Antonio for establishing their first-ever robotic surgery programme with #Versius! Since commencing their programme in August, the general surgery team have already completed 50 cases with #Versius, using the system across a range of procedures including rectopexy, anterior resection, hernia repair and subtotal colectomy. Ospedale Sant'Antonio is a part of Azienda Ospedaliera Università of Padova, alongside Ospedale Universitario Padova, whose urology team are using #Versius to perform a range of urological procedures including retroperitoneoscopic nephrectomy, hysteropexy and prostatectomy demonstrating the versatility of the system. Congratulations again to both hospitals for maximising use of #Versius to bring more patients robotic-assisted minimal access surgery! 🤖 Introducing Dr Bot and Dex! 🤖 Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (MKUH) the two #Versius surgical robots have now been named – thanks to the children of Milton Keynes. The surgery teams at MKUH asked children from local schools to come up with ideas for names, with surgeons Barrie Keeler and Richard O’Hara announcing the winners from a shortlist of entries at a special naming ceremony held at the end of October. The children whose names were selected were invited to the Trust's theatres to try their surgical skills out on #Versius (without patients, of course!) At MKUH, the two #Versius systems – now called Dr Bot and Dex – are routinely used across colorectal, gynaecology, general surgery and urology cases with the Trust recently surpassing 800 surgical procedures performed with #Versius. A big thank you to MKUH for including us in the naming ceremony, and for all the children who helped to name Dr Bot and Dex! Versius is compact and modular, making it a versatile and portable surgical robot that can seamlessly integrate into virtually any operating room to perform. It's modularity and small size make #Versius easy for surgeons to adopt and easy to move around a hospital, ultimately maximising utilisation. With Versius, you can place your ports where you want them, to best suit the needs of each patient - supporting ease of adoption for surgeons, and allowing them to operate without needing to change their approach from laparoscopy. #TransformingSurgery

Designed to biomimic the human arm, #Versius empowers surgeons through optimised port placement together with the dexterity and accuracy of small, fully-wristed instruments. Versius offers 3D HD vision, easy-to-adopt instrument control, and a choice of ergonomic working positions, with an open surgeon console that has the potential to reduce stress and fatigue - supporting surgeons like Dr Sethia to perform more high-volume complex urological cases robotically so that more patients receive the benefits of robotic-assisted minimal access surgery. #TransformingSurgery #CMRSurgical

Our digital ecosystem offers the opportunity to make better informed decisions to improve patient outcomes whilst maximising efficiencies during surgery. #Versius gives you the ability to gather robotic telemetry data and procedural case videos, supported by clinical context information from the CMR Registry together in Versius Connect. With the Versius digital ecosystem, we give surgeons the tools to understand the full clinical story of their procedures, so they can make informed decisions to improve patient care. #TransformingSurgery
