2024: A Year of Contrasts and Change This year has been a mixed bag. It’s been a year of adapting, learning, and experimenting. After a slow start, Q2 and Q3 were some of our busiest ever, followed by one of our most challenging periods to date. The shift towards short-form content has accelerated, often driven by small, agile teams. There have been fewer documentary projects, but event coverage has grown significantly compared to 2023. Our workflow has evolved too—monitors are now rotated to portrait mode, our office has transformed into an in-house shooting space, and our use of AI tools has expanded exponentially. So, what’s next? We asked our good friends (AI included) to predict content trends for 2025: 1. Hyper-Personalized Content at Scale Brands will deliver tailored videos that speak directly to specific audiences. ✨ Our approach: Combine creativity with automation to stay ahead of the game. 2. Rise of Episodic Short-Form Content Think mini-series for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Serialized storytelling is about to hit big. ✨ Our approach: Storytelling is what we do best. Bite-sized episodes are perfect for retaining audiences and building brand loyalty. 3. Authentic AI Collaboration AI isn’t replacing creativity—it’s enhancing it. Tools for conception, editing, VFX, and voice cloning will become creative collaborators. ✨ Our approach: We keep AI use honest and authentic—just like this post. Here’s to an exciting 2025 🚀. Who knows what innovations are around the corner? What trends do you see shaping the year ahead? Let’s hear them below 👇 Thanks to all the Clockwise Friends, Family, Colleagues and Collaborators. Our new shooting space is Open for business. Here is a recent product shot for Fielden Whisky Get in touch to find out more.
The UK's first bottle box made from agricultural waste 🎁 👀 Just in time for Christmas, we've teamed up with PaperWise - B Corp™ to create a sustainable gift box that is better for the planet. ✅ 100% agricultural waste ✅ 100% tree-free ✅ 100% recyclable (including the foil) ✅ 100% compostable ✅ Completely unbleached PaperWise is made from the stems and leaves left over after harvest (from crops including rice, wheat, barley, cereals, corn, hemp and sugar cane). It's produced with 100% green energy and is CO2 neutral, with 47% less impact than FSC-certified paper and 29% less impact than recycled paper.* This process also provides small-scale farmers in developing countries with an additional income from their agri-waste. Like Fielden Whisky, it's better for farmers and better for the planet 🌾 💚

Bristol’s Cabot Circus shopping centre brought back their ‘Level 7’ car park pop-up skatepark for a third year in a row, and alongside this free-to-use skateable space featured ’Slow Space’ in collaboration with Subway UK & Ireland, CANVAS Skateparks, and Campusskateparks, this was able to cater more directly to both young and beginner skateboarders alike. Through a skateable feature ‘co-design’ workshop held at May Park Primary School, Skateboard GB uncovered themes that are preferable to beginners and young people, including; a hippy jump, humps, kickers, and ramps. CANVAS Spaces then took the drawings made by these young people, built and installed them at Level 7, bringing to life Bristol’s first ever youth-designed skateable space. The features that made up the ‘Slow Space’ had one more journey to undertake to find their permanent home; the playground of the school in which they were designed. They will be there for all the students to enjoy and the after-school skateboarding club will continue to run and thrive by these additional obstacles, encouraging development & growth. The future of skateboarding and education looks bright! Video Production by Clockwise.film Words by Skateboard GB

Whenever Daniel Higginson points the camera my way, I’m a bit wary! But I’m no spoilsport, and I was happy to indulge his new format idea to provide regular updates from the studio. Luckily Charlie Guy-Wilson made me feel at ease and put together this slick round up of recent projects 🎥 This month Clockwise.film we have: - Launched a campaign for Fielden Whisky’s rare bottle of whisky in time for Xmas 🥃 - Sent our creatives on a fashion mission with Creative Head Magazine 🤠 - Sparked a conversation about mental health in hairdressing with L'Oréal Professionnel Paris 💈 P.S. Can you spot the cheeky use of AI in the edit? 👀 We have some space in the studio during December and we’re already planning for 2025, so feel free to get in touch with any production requirements and new projects 🚀

🎬✨ Why Storyboards Are Essential, But Not Everything! 🎥 When it comes to filming commercials, storyboards are a game-changer. They bring the vision to life, ensure clarity on set, and help keep the creative direction aligned across the entire production team. A solid storyboard lets everyone—from the director to the crew—know what they’re aiming for, reducing confusion and making sure each shot is purposeful and on budget. But here’s the secret: Don’t chain yourself to it! Stay flexible and keep an open mind. Some of the best moments happen when you’re willing to adapt, allowing for spontaneous creativity that can bring unexpected magic to the screen. A storyboard is your roadmap, but trust yourself to take creative detours if inspiration strikes! 🔥 Shot & drawn by the incredible: Sam Coombes #Filmmaking #CommercialShoot #Storyboarding #CreativeProcess #OnSet #Production

Seeing first-hand the time, effort and love that goes into the Opening and Closing Ceremony at Boomtown Festival is incredible. They carry such importance to the team as they allow people to fully immerse themselves in the experience. As always it was a pleasure to be involved in the film production of these shows.

Our ceremonies are mammoth productions on colossal stages with bespoke performances by Jenna G, Madly, Gardna, Inja, Eva Lazarus and Catching Cario with music produced by Anais, Kreed, Oppidan and Samurai Breaks.
