About us
CIE was formed in 1959 and started with one ‘common aim’, to provide high quality kitchen products and a service that would be second to none, to establish the company as the first and only point of contact for any Designer, Architect or Developer, and especially in the prime central London residential markets. Its first major project was the supply and installation of 140 kitchens in the apartments of Kings Reach at London’s Southbank. Since then, CIE has grown significantly, providing products and services into many of London’s landmark developments, including Royal Residences and Embassy’s, building a first class reputation. Our website will give you further inspiration by looking at some of the more recent projects we have successfully contributed to, at www.cie.plc.uk. The company is also part of the Nobia Group that is Europe’s leading kitchen specialist with over 6000 people and a SEK13bn (£1.05bn) turnover. Despite the Group’s size and wide reach, CIE maintains a very personalised and professional approach, and we would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate this. Seminar 1: RIBA Accredited bulthaup 'Living Spaces' CPD We look at bulthaup’s history and values, and explore the premium kitchen production technologies of their material. The CPD gives an insight into the individual planning expertise of kitchen living spaces with particular focus on the Project Market. Seminar 2: The Art of Super Prime Kitchen Design We provide an insight into the kitchen design principles and guidelines applied to every Super Prime Residential project. The CPD investigates the concept of Super Prime kitchen design and the implications upon the product and design approach. As part of our 65 year retrospective we look back at one of our legacy projects as we entered the new millennium. The era defining Montevetro, designed by RSHP was described at the time as a building that "rose like a shining phoenix from the grey ashes of urban desolation”. Completed in the year 2000, CIE were appointed as the kitchen design and installation team utilising bulthaup’s iconic and groundbreaking ‘System 25’ 25 years on from CIE's kitchen design and installation, it remains the standard bearer for London's prime residential riverside development. Construction for the future, recognised with awards in the present 🏆 We’re delighted that our development, Marylebone Square, won Housing Project of the Year sponsored by The Housing Forum last night at the #Building Awards. A testament to the superb landmark, the huge amount of skill and technical expertise that went into it, and to all the people that made it happen including our partners Concord London Developments and E8 Architecture. This is the second accolade for the scheme after it took home 'Residential Project of the Year' at the British Construction Industry Awards last month. Our digital pathfinder project in partnership with Ministry of Justice UK and Glider at HMP Five Wells was also highly commended in the Digital Excellence category.
