We were interested to hear about the latest film and heritage sector collaboration. Historic England has recently created and funded Carbon Literacy Courses, looking at the science behind the climate emergency, its impact on our heritage buildings and the benefits of sustainable practices. Historic England and Heritage Building and Places are rolling out these entry level, action focused, carbon reduction training courses especially for the heritage sector, and we thought our film industry colleagues working with heritage buildings might like to attend the British Film Institute (BFI) and BFI FAN collaboration. The next online event runs on 14 & 18 Nov. Deadline to register is 4 Nov. More info from https://bit.ly/3Uv5SU6.

It’s World Opera Day! Celebrating the beauty of opera and its power to unite - WOD is an awareness campaign designed to highlight the positive impact of opera, held annually on 25th October, the birthdays of Georges Bizet and Johann Strauss II. A day when opera lovers and professionals alike can celebrate the value of the art form, with events taking place live and online. We hope all our opera clients enjoy the celebrations #worldoperaday “Opera, as well as the arts, contributes to developing tolerance and understanding, opening minds, and getting people in touch with strong universal emotions. Just as much as sport shapes a healthy body, the arts shape a healthy mind.”
