Tanya is a Partner at HW Fisher, part of Sumer, the UK’s leading mid-market accountancy practice providing professional support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK. She specialises in transaction services and audit, splitting her time between the two. With over a decade of experience, Tanya is one of the firm’s senior valuation experts, bringing a wealth of expertise in business valuation for financial reporting purposes. As an audit RI, she is experienced in reporting under IFRS and FRS102, tailoring valuation assignments specifically to the frameworks required for non-audit clients. We are delighted to announce that Mark Zyla has joined Business Valuation Institute UK (BVIUK) as our most recent Accredited Member. Mark brings a wealth of experience and an unparalleled dedication to the field of business valuation. He is the Managing Director of Zyla Valuation Advisors,LLC, an Atlanta-based valuation and litigation consultancy firm. Additionally, Mark serves as a Lecturer in Advanced Valuation for Consultants in the Department of Finance at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. Mark's contributions to the profession are profound: Former Chairman of the Standards Review Board at the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). Service on the AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee and the Business Valuations Committee of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) Inducted into the AICPA Business Valuation Hall of Fame in 2013. A prolific author and presenter, Mark has educated judges at the Federal Judicial Center and the National Judicial College. He is the author of Fair Value Measurement: Practical Guidance and Implementation (3rd ed., John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2020) and co-author of Accounting for Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets (BNA Bloomberg, 2018). His expertise also extends to several Bloomberg BNA portfolios on Fair Value Measurement. Mark’s leadership, expertise, and contributions to advancing valuation standards are truly inspiring. In addition to his valuation practice, Drew is a highly sought-after speaker, having spoken at numerous conferences worldwide and authored articles in leading professional publications on business valuation, litigation support, and fraud-related topics over the past 33 years. He is also a frequent guest in international television, radio, and print media, providing insights on valuation, finance, and sports business matters. Drew’s commitment to advancing the valuation profession is unparalleled. He has served in significant leadership roles, including: Board of Trustees of The Appraisal Foundation (2013-2015, 2016-2018 terms). Board of Directors of The CBV Institute (2006-2009, Fellow in 2018). Chair of the Membership and Standards Recognition Board of the International Valuation Standards Council (appointed in 2021, Chair in 2022).
