🌳Bright Biotech is proud to contribute to the community and environment! 🌍 Yesterday we had an incredible team day partnering with community forest charity City of Trees to maintain and improve the local habitat at Madamswood Playing Field in Salford. Together, we planted and cared for over 200 trees, contributing to enhancing the natural beauty of that community. It was a wonderful experience to bond as a team out of the office and lab while making a positive impact on our environment, one tree at a time! Together, we’re taking steps towards a greener and more sustainable future. 🌱💚 #CommunityEngagement #Sustainability #TeamWork #BrightBiotech #CityOfTrees #TeamBuilding

GROWING BRIGHTER FUTURES 🌿 When Bright Biotech came to us, they were gearing up for a game-changing phase. With a rapidly growing team and some big funding rounds on the horizon, co-founder Mohammad knew they needed more than just a visual refresh – they needed a bold new identity that matched their ambition. 💚 Their current branding? Good enough for biotech. But “good enough” isn’t what makes waves. Mohammad wanted a brand that stood out, told their story in a way that would stop people in their tracks, and most importantly, attract top-tier talent. Bright Biotech needed to look and feel world class. Enter Lyon & Lyon. 👋 👋 👋 From strategy to logo development, brand transformation to a sleek new website, check out how we teamed up to make biotech bolder than ever. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eVysz9M8 #biotech #lifesciences #rebrand #creativeagency

18 startups in 7 countries 🌱 🧫 🧀 🥔 Molecular farming unlocks the potential for affordable, animal-free proteins by using plants as natural bioreactors. Can this innovative technology scale up to revolutionise protein production as we know it? These startups think so: Alpine Bio (makers of Nobell Foods), Aspyre Foods, Asterix Foods, BioBetter™, Bright Biotech, Elo Life Systems, Finally Foods, Forte Protein Inc., IngredientWerks, Kyomei, Miruku, Moolec Science, Mozza Foods, NewMoo, ORF Genetics, PoLoPo, Seedling Biosystems, VELOZBIO This week we dive into the evolution of molecular farming. From when the pharmaceutical industry first started using it in the 1980s on tobacco plants producing proteins, enzymes, and metabolites. To it's first breaking onto the scene and gaining investment attention in FoodTech a few years back. To the startups fundraising and scaling today. Using it to produce cheese-making enzymes, animal proteins, growth factors for cell-based meat, pigments, and more. 18 startups growing the future of protein with molecular farming Would you eat cheese that its key protein was grown in a potato? Not a cheese alternative… but the real, genetically-identical deal. Might sound like sci-fi, but startups are making it happen. 💡What Molecular farming unlocks the potential for affordable, animal-free proteins by using plants as natural bioreactors. ❓How Plant molecular farming (PMF). It’s a form of alternative protein production that enables plants to express target molecules like animal proteins. 💊 History Molecular farming is nothing new. The pharmaceutical industry has been using it since the 1980s on tobacco plants producing proteins, enzymes, and metabolites. 🌿 Advantages "Plants are the ideal ‘bioreactors’ to produce complex proteins, avoiding the significant technical and economical challenges faced by other alternative protein technologies," tells Dafna Gabbay of Finally Foods And "while molecular farming is a fairly new sector, it’s already well advanced scientifically and commercially – mainly because molecular farming startups had the chance to learn from other established sectors and have implemented what they learned from these models," explain Ido Eliashar and Maya Sapir-Mir of PoLoPo 🔦 Who Alpine Bio (makers of Nobell Foods), Aspyre Foods, Asterix Foods, BioBetter™, Bright Biotech, Elo Life Systems, Finally Foods, Forte Protein Inc., IngredientWerks, Kyomei, Miruku, Moolec Science, Mozza Foods, NewMoo, ORF Genetics, PoLoPo, Seedling Biosystems, VELOZBIO Thank you to Ido, Maya, and Dafna for sharing their expertise. And to Meg Kendall for the great write up. Get the full recap and dive into the opportunities and challenges behind the trend here: https://lnkd.in/er4n9Nq8
