We dig deep to embed change and deliver change in your life. You will regularly discuss and agree on the next steps with me and you will finish with a clear plan for the next stage of the journey. My background: I have worked in various roles in financial services around London for 30 years before changing direction to follow my passion. I live in East London with my wife and 3 school-age children so I am balancing work and family time. currently, I am a househusband working the hours I choose around my family time. I realised a few years ago when talking with friends about what I do that I am most excited when talking about coaching and mentoring other people rather than my main work. I became aware of how the tone, pace and volume of my voice changed. So at this point, I chose to retrain as a coach and am continuing on this journey sharing my enthusiasm and wisdom with others. As introverts, one of our greatest strengths is our ability to listen deeply. Introverts are natural listeners, and that’s why when you speak, people listen. In today’s fast-paced work environment, effective communication is key. Your skill in truly hearing what others say allows you to gather insights and offer perspectives that are not only valuable but often transformative. Here’s how to leverage your listening skills to thrive at work: Be present in conversations: Engage fully, and show genuine interest in others’ ideas. This builds rapport and trust. Reflect before responding: Your thoughtful approach will ensure that when you speak, your words are impactful and relevant. Share your insights: When you do contribute, your carefully considered thoughts will resonate more deeply with your audience. Your quiet strength as a listener sets the stage for powerful communication. Embrace it, and watch how your voice becomes a beacon of influence in the workplace. 🌟 #IntrovertsAtWork #NaturalListeners #EffectiveCommunication #WorkplaceSuccess #ThoughtfulLeadership #IntrovertStrengths #ThriveAtWork #introvertsuccess

Sunday is a great day to reflect and recognise those who have provided great service this week. Firstly I was pleased with the efficient and good expert who came round to replace the sealant in our bathroom after we had found a leak. Not only turning up on time but carrying a thorough clean up afterwards. Whilst I am always nervous about inviting workmen into our home on Thursday I was put at ease. Then on Friday BT openreach arrived to install fibre to the door, which I'm sure the boys will notice more benefit than I do. It was great to experience again a fast and efficient service carried out to a high standard. We now have a new cable attached tidily to the outside of our house and double the internet speed... So overall a good week.

As an introvert, you don’t need to raise your voice to lead. Introverts lead through thoughtfulness, not volume. Your ability to listen, reflect, and offer meaningful insights is a powerful leadership trait. Quiet confidence speaks louder than words. It’s about knowing when to speak and letting the quality of your contributions shine through. You don’t need to dominate a conversation to make an impact—your presence and perspective do the talking. Is this something you believe? Speaking from experience it is, as over the years I noticed at work that people tune out the loudest voice in the room and are more interested in the thoughtful quietly spoken words. Sometimes we need to find a supporter to get people to listen to what we have to say. Here’s how you can lead and be heard as an introvert: Listen first, speak second: Your strength lies in reflection. When you do speak, your insight will carry more weight. Embrace your quiet confidence: You don’t need to shout to make a difference—trust that your thoughtful approach is valuable. Let your actions speak: Leadership is more than words—show your confidence through actions and decisions. In a world filled with noise, it’s the thoughtful, quiet leaders who often make the biggest impact. Let your quiet confidence lead the way. #introvertsuccess #IntrovertsAtWork #QuietLeadership #ThoughtfulLeadership #WorkplaceConfidence #LeadByExample #IntrovertStrengths

As an introvert, you might sometimes feel like your voice is overshadowed by louder personalities in the workplace. But here’s the truth: your voice doesn’t have to be loud to matter—it just needs to be authentic. Being true to yourself in how you communicate is your greatest strength. People value honesty, clarity, and depth over volume. When you speak authentically, your words naturally resonate, and your contributions become more impactful. Here’s how to ensure your voice is heard at work: Speak from your values: Authenticity is magnetic—when you speak with sincerity, people listen. Embrace your style: You don’t need to match the energy of others. Your quiet, thoughtful approach is powerful. Trust your voice: Believe that your contributions are meaningful, even if they’re delivered in a softer tone. In a world that often rewards volume, authenticity will always win. Let your genuine voice shine—it’s more powerful than you think. 🌟 #IntrovertsAtWork #AuthenticLeadership #QuietPower #WorkplaceConfidence #ThoughtfulCommunication #IntrovertStrengths

Do you ever feel you are just disappearing into the background, unnoticed by those around you? Is this where you want to be? That's a question I have asked myself a lot over the years and realised that sometimes I wanted to be noticed more whilst at times I enjoy being overlooked. As introverts, we excel at observation and reflection, which means when we do step forward, our contributions are often more thoughtful and impactful. We don’t need to constantly push for attention—our strength lies in knowing when and how to show up. Here’s how we can make our presence known at work: Leverage your timing: Observe and understand the flow of conversations, and speak when your insight can add the most value. this could be catching up before or after meetings with people to express your thoughts. Own your unique style: You don’t need to be the loudest in the room to stand out—your thoughtful approach will naturally get you noticed. Discover how your leaders like to know you have something to say and practice just get noticed that you have something of value to add. Engage intentionally: Use smaller, focused moments to build influence—one-on-one conversations, well-crafted emails, or key contributions during meetings. When you notice the right time to speak and express your point you will have greater impact. Remember, it’s not about constantly being in the spotlight. It’s about choosing the right moment to step in and shine. #introvertsuccess #IntrovertsAtWork #QuietLeadership #CareerSuccess #WorkplaceConfidence #OwnYourPower #ThoughtfulLeadership #IntrovertStrengths

  • How do you use silence when speaking?

Helping the introvert feeling invisible at work to create the success you want without changing who you are. Coaching| Change | career

Have you ever explored using silence when speaking with others? It’s something I have used and its interesting to watch how others respond, some find it frustrating whilst others just notice you more and focus on what you are about to say. That pause is as powerful as anything else you will say. Do you ever tune out when someone just talks and talks. losing the thread of their point? For us introverts, silence is more than just a pause—it's a superpower. In a world where many rush to speak, your ability to reflect, observe, and listen gives you a unique edge. But here’s the key: when you choose to break that silence, let your words leave a lasting impact. When you speak with intention and clarity, people notice. Your insights, shaped by reflection, carry weight. You don’t need to speak often, but when you do, make it count. Here are a few ways to amplify your impact at work: Prioritise quality over quantity: Speak when you have something meaningful to contribute. Control the pace of your words to ensure your message is heard. Be concise but insightful: Let your words carry depth and intention. By keeping in short and pausing you allow people time to think and reflect on what you have just said. Trust your timing: Silence creates anticipation—use it to highlight the power of your voice. Your thoughtful contributions will always resonate. Embrace your quiet strength, and let your voice stand out in moments that matter. If you would like help to explore this further just get in touch. #intorvertsuccess #IntrovertsAtWork #QuietLeadership #ImpactfulCommunication #CareerSuccess #SilentStrength #ThoughtfulLeadership

Do you believe it is only noisy people who leave an impression? Whilst they do leave a big impression it is not always impressive. What impression do you leave when you speak quietly less? What I have learned over the years is that less is more in terms of words. Many bosses I have worked for have appreciated those clear concise questions and answers as it saves everyone time. So how do you do it in an interview -? Here’s how to make that impression last: Quality over quantity: Your thoughtful, deliberate responses leave a stronger impact than speaking just to fill the air. Pause and form your sentences, Subtle confidence: Even without being the loudest, your calm demeanour and well-chosen words demonstrate confidence and reliability. A quieter voice forces people to focus in to listen this makes a stronger impact, Lasting impact: While others may aim to stand out through volume, your quiet focus and depth resonate long after the interview is over. Your shorter answers will mean they can easily recall your key points. Being quiet doesn’t mean you go unnoticed—your presence and insight make a lasting impression. #introvertsuccess #IntrovertStrength #InterviewSuccess #QuietConfidence #LastingImpression #CareerGrowth #JobSearch

How do your rate your communication style? Is this something you think about much? As a reflective person this over the years I have observed the differences in my approach to others. Within the workplace I may be a man of few words but I choose these carefully to have impact, picking up the key points and asking relevant questions. What I have found over the years is that it makes other think too and it has quietly changed the impact I have. So, in that job interview why is it a major advantage: Depth over speed: Thoughtful responses demonstrate you’ve taken the time to truly understand the question and provide meaningful insights. Having the confidence to hold the silence for a few seconds to structure your thoughts makes real impact. Build trust: Your reliable communication style reassures interviewers that you’re thorough, focused, and dependable —traits every employer values. Showcase your strengths: Don’t rush to fill the silence; instead, deliver well-considered answers that highlight your experience and attention to detail. That pause allows you to reflect on your preparation to recall the best examples to demonstrate the strengths they are looking for in the role. Your calm, thoughtful approach speaks volumes.
