This winter, THINK! is highlighting the consequences of drink driving. Even a small amount of alcohol can impair your ability to drive, putting both yourself and other road users at risk. Campaigning for safer streets and delivering the National Road Victim Service
About us
Brake is a road safety charity established in 1995 to stop the needless death, injury and pollution happening on our streets every day. We offer free tools, resources and support for communities, schools and businesses, running global campaigns including #RoadSafetyWeek each November and the Global Fleet Champions initiative for at-work drivers. Through our National Road Victim Service, we offer support to all those affected by road death and injury, as well as the professionals that care for them.

Bryn was just a month away from his 19th birthday when he was killed by a drunk driver. Last month his family organised a charity evening in his memory, raising an incredible £2,020 for Brake. Bryn's sister Vicki said: "Bryn was such a happy popular lad with a heart of gold, he really would do anything for anyone. His cheeky smile would light up any room, quite the little joker, loved a laugh, in such a short life he touched so many people’s lives." Thank you to everyone involved in this fantastic fundraiser, we are so grateful for your support.

Baroness Newlove, The Victims’ Commissioner for England and Wales, has launched the 2024 Victims' Survey. The survey gives you the opportunity to share your views about the criminal justice system and the support you've received. Completing the survey will help to ensure that future victims receive the support and justice outcomes they need. This year, Brake launched its Road Victims' Charter, which demands essential actions to ensure that everyone affected by road crashes receives the respect, support and justice they deserve. Completing the Victims' Survey can help our cause and improve the support for road crash victims, regardless of where they live or whether a crime has occurred.
