Since then those numbers have risen to over 140,000kg of plastic toothbrushes @BambuuBrush® has stopped from entering circulation whilst inspiring people all of the world to make #onesimplechange in their daily lives, whilst educating over 7,000 school children through our educational workshops and delivering over 50 clean ups collecting 10,000kg of plastic! And as we always say, this is just the beginning of the impact we plan to create working towards our goal of 1,000,000kg of plastic toothbrushes stopped 🛑🪥 Keep your eyes peeled for our big announcement on Feb 1st 👀

Simplified explanation of what is a nurdle ❌ Our founder Tommie Eaton speaking with Marketing Manager at Ergobaby Tatum Palmer on Nudles Nurdles, which are small plastic pellets used as raw material in plastic production, are harmful to the environment for several reasons: 1. Marine Pollution: Nurdles often end up in oceans and waterways due to spills and poor handling practices. Once in the water, they are mistaken for food by marine life, causing ingestion that can lead to choking, starvation, or death in animals 🐳 2. Toxin Absorption: Nurdles act like sponges for harmful pollutants such as PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) and pesticides, concentrating these toxins. When marine creatures ingest nurdles, these toxins can enter the food chain, eventually affecting larger animals and even humans ❌ 3. Non-Biodegradability: Nurdles are made of plastic and do not break down easily in the environment and more so break up into smaller nano-plastics. They persist for hundreds of years, contributing to the long-term problem of plastic pollution in ecosystems worldwide 🫀

What an amazing day with Ergobaby on Exmouth Beach this week! @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ and Ergobaby Europe GmbH teamed up to deliver a beach clean up where although the beach was very clean, microplastics and nurdles were a plenty highlighting such an important issue! Beaches may look clean but as soon as you scratch the surface beaches all around the world are polluted with plastics!! Thank you to the team at Ergobaby, hopefully one of many more to come!

I got sent this this morning which I haven't seen before - another video of @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ on board with Etihad on their EcoFlight from Abu Dhabi to Brisbane!! Business is waking up to the unnecessary need for low grade single use plastic, and specifically plastic toothbrushes in replacement of a nature based products, this creates an environment where sustainability is the norm and inspires people to act more conscious throughout their daily lives! A 2nd airline to take @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ on board following our incredible partnership with Virgin Atlantic which has so far stopped over 100,000kg of plastic toothbrushes entering the industry!! THE POWER OF NANS featuring Richard Branson 🪥🩵 a story we’ve never shared but are so proud/fond of! Christmas Day 2018, a few months before we launched @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ and our #1millionby2020 campaign, me and Rebecca we telling our family about our goal to inspire 1,000,000 @BambuuBrush to be sold before the year 2020 from the bedroom at my parents house, in which our family all laughed and said “impossible, that’s 3,000units a day” 😳 I also said that a second goal is to get Sir Richard Branson to hold one of our @BambuuBrushes in which everyone again said no chance, apart from my Nan who said “if you can believe it, it will happen” 🩵 2months later we launched @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ and worked towards are mission, definitely slow to start we but we started to get some business and social media traction. Nan kept saying “if you can believe it, it will happen” and then on April 4th 2019 we got an email from Nel Simpson at Virgin Atlantic asking for us to trial with them! After 4months of negotiations in which we were wildly naive the world of business in general but even more so global procurement, we launched @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ at 30,000ft with Virgin Atlantic in the award winning “Most sustainable amenity kit in the skies” Watermark ✈️ I told the story of my Nan to Sarah Winter and Victoria Longster the social media team at Virgin Atlantic… 2months later in November I received 4 photos of the man himself, an inspiration to myself and many, Sir Richard Branson holding our product we believe has such power to inspire others to make sustainable decisions! Since then the partnership between Virgin Atlantic and @BambuuBrush® | B Corp™ has stopped over 100,000kg of plastic toothbrushes entering commercial settings and continues to do so!
