“From start to finish the Baily Garner team have delivered to every commitment and provided guidance and advice on all aspects of the scheme. They BG team integrated well with the client team from the outset and have showed professional expertise, flexibility, innovation and passion throughout every stage of the procurement.” - Paul, Poplar HARCA On every single project, we aim to positively impact the lives of the people involved. Teviot Estate is no different. This huge regeneration scheme will span 15 years and looks to provide 1800+ homes for the people of Tower Hamlets. 🏘️🔑 While this is a large project with a lot of moving parts, one of the main aims is to provide social value and enhance the already strong sense of community. A series of workshops was held for residents to understand their priorities and aspirations for the estate. We met with Poplar HARCA and Trowers & Hamlins to establish the ethos, vision and skills for selecting a partner in the tender process. 🤝 While we have a long way to go before the project is completed, progress so far is good. We are delighted to be able to share our cost data from developments throughout the UK with other Housing Forum member experts to contribute to this important report. Particularly encouraging that the Treasury have picked this up and engaged with the HF, acknowledging the report’s importance in considering it as part of the strategy to achieve their target of 150m homes within the current term of Government.
Housing Forum members Andy Tookey, Adam Pannell, MRICS, Michael Daniels, and Mike De'Ath with Policy Director, Anna Clarke met with Treasury officers today to discuss our report on The Costs of Building a House https://lnkd.in/eUkW7WMy We discussed recent planning reforms, what more Government could do to tackle rising costs of housebuilding and meet their ambition of 1.5m new homes, and how The Housing Forum can help.

This week we had a special visitor to our Manchester Office. Meet Summer, who has done countless charity campaigns at just 9 years old. This December she has made it her mission to collect toys, selection boxes, pjs and whatever other gifts she can to help the 1 in 3 children who may wake up this Christmas with no presents due to financial hardship.🎄🎁 After hearing the dedication and kindness Summer has for helping others we decided that we wanted to help with her mission, and we are happy to say that we gave Summer dozens of toys to hand out to those in need this Christmas. Thank you Summer, Keep up the great work! 👏 #MerryChristmas #Charity #Giving #Christmas
