"If I help others, then they will want to help me." - That is the philosophy behind 'Givers Gain'.

About us

B4C is the Carmarthen chapter of BNI. BNI is a global business organisation, founded on the principle "Givers Gain", which basically means, "if I give to others, they will want to give to me". At BNI, members meet weekly with the intention of building amazing relationships and helping each other to grow their businesses through the passing of referrals. There's a strict rule of one business per profession within each BNI chapter, meaning that if you take up a seat, you will be the go-to person within the group for your given profession. As a group, we aim to generate over £500,000 of business between the members and we do this by building know, like and trust amongst our members, meaning they have the confidence to refer work to each other. If you'd like to be part of this group, register to come along and visit!

  • What an eventful meeting today! We were blown away by "Professor" Sean Allison of SPK Property Solutions Ltd, there's a lot more to being an electrician than most of us realised. What a presentation. Equations and everything! 🤯 We welcomed our newest member, accountant Ashley Farrell of Lumin Accountancy - Chartered Certified Accountants, what a start for a new member, referrals in and out already! 🔥 And Helen Rees shared her core value with us and why she feels that a Positive Attitude is so important in business, networking and life. We're doing more than just referring business here, we're supporting each other, socialising together and creating life-long relationships. Over £50k of business was passed between members last month and it's increasing every month as the groups relationships become stronger. Do you want to be part of this kind of a network?

  • This week's feature presentation, Kevin Jones of Celsius Electrical & Air Conditioning gave us a walk through his life and all things: ⚡️ Commercial Electrical ⚡️ Solar Panels ⚡️ Air Conditioning ⚡️ EV Chargers ⚡️ Shop fitting electrics (technical term) He also told us about his family, how they got a dog after their cat went missing, only for the cat to resurface two years later! (That must have been some stag do!) and we're still waiting to hear HOW he got STUCK in a horse... 😳 Great presentation Kev! Look him up if you need anything mentioned above, with the exception of how to free yourself from a horse.

  • When you all pull together to invite business owners to a networking meeting, what do you get? A fantastic turnout and extra pressure on the kitchen at Yr Egin, that's what! 🤣 The vibe here today was on another level. With well over 50 people there, the meeting actually went slightly over time trying to give everyone a chance to speak. We've got 5 people who were particularly interested in joining and seeing what B4C can do for their business. It's not all about business networking though, it's also about socialising, and anyone getting in quick, might just be able to come along to our Christmas party! 🥳🎄🥂 There's a few more meetings left this year, so let us know if you fancy coming along!

  • Sarah Evans was our featured speaker this morning and she gave a fabulous presentation taking us through her career right up to her current business Sarah L Evans Photography. Sarah's had an incredibly varied career path, some of her roles more surprising than others! 😳 She loves all aspects of photography, so anything you need a camera pointed at, give Sarah a shout! 🤣 We also welcomed a new member Luke McManamon-Mortimer of Motts Insurance, another great addition to the squad! Luke now has the job of getting to know all of us. The upcoming Saturday Social will no doubt help with that. So, no matter what you need in your business journey, B4C can provide. From opportunities to improve your public speaking, your elevator pitch and your overall confidence through to having a great peer group to support you, friendships and of course, referrals, we've got your back! 🙌 Next Wednesday is a HUGE visitors day, we've got 19 visitors registered alongside the 30+ members, pop something in the comments if you're interested in attending, and we will get back to you!

  • Back to where it all started! B4C was born at Carmarthen Golf Club and after a long while, we returned for a meeting at this fantastic venue. The sun was shining and the views are exceptional on a bright day, which certainly added to the atmosphere in the meeting. Today, we had a stand-in president in Matt Cole and an outstanding feature presentation from Daniel Patterson, where we got a little insight into the man behind Highly. What a great way to start the day! Will you be at our next meeting as we return to Canolfan S4C Yr Egin on Tuesday 19th of November? 💪

  • At B4C Carmarthen, you learn to expect the unexpected. This morning, the unexpected in question was an interesting mortgage company presentation. 🫣 Rhys Young of Affinity Financial Management gave a brilliant presentation which many in the room stood up and congratulated him on. It really gave us all insight into the reason why Rhys started the business and how he works passionately to help home owners and aspiring home owners to get on to the property ladder. Affinity Financial Management to all they can to provide ethical advice and support, and if you're in the market for a change in mortgage, you should give them a try. We're meeting at Carmarthen Golf Club next week, so a temporary change of venue, if you're interested in coming along and meeting the group, please say in the comments and we'll get you invited.

Half term brings unique challenges, but it's also a time for growth and connection. Monday was a blend of business and family, enriched by a trip to Tenby before the girls returned from their shopping adventure in Cardiff. Last night, I attended a business meeting with the Saundersfoot Rotary, where I was inspired by the plans for the coming year. I felt a profound sense of pride in being part of a team dedicated to making a difference. As day two of half term unfolded, Tuesday welcomed my weekly BNI networking meeting in Carmarthen. There, I had the privilege of sharing my BNI journey over the past 11 years—reflecting on my emotions when I first started, and how it has not only built my business but also transformed me from the corporate world to the world of self-employment and entrepreneurship.

This morning, I had the opportunity to present an educational slot at our BNI chapter, focusing on something that impacts us all: making the most of every meeting. In business, our time is one of our most valuable assets. Maximising the value of each meeting—whether with clients, partners, or colleagues—can make a huge difference. I shared some actionable tips, including: ✅ Preparation: Knowing your goals and desired outcomes ahead of time. ✅ Active Engagement: Focusing on listening as much as speaking. ✅ Follow-Up: Ensuring action points are clear and followed through to maintain momentum. Thank you to the BNI group for the engagement and insightful discussion! Here’s to making each meeting count and building stronger connections. #BNI #Networking #BusinessTips #Productivity #MeetingMaximization

  • Another week, another brilliant B4C Member Presentation! This week, Kirsty Jones told us all about how she helps keep her clients assets safe and families keep their wealth in the right hands. With some excellent case studies to help us all understand just how badly things can go wrong without the right basic planning in place, I think we all now know exactly how we can help Kirsty get some referrals in the coming weeks! Fancy joining in and meeting our 28 current members? We have a visitors day next Tuesday, 29th of October. Comment below to get an invitation!
