We are just a few days away from our annual Dementia Memorial Service at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre in Swinton. This free event is open to anyone who wants to remember their loved ones as the festive season approaches. We'll have refreshments and festive music and offer a warm welcome to all. The service will begin at 6pm, led by Reverend Helen Tomlinson of the University of Salford. It will include a tree-lighting ceremony and a minute of reflection to remember your loved ones. We hope to see you there.

Karen James, Service Manager and Karen Hampson, Team Leader at St George’s Community Hub, attended the Bridge College Transition Event last week. Parents, students, and carers were able to find out what we offer and how we can support students with learning disabilities and autism once they leave college in July 2025.

On Monday 7th October, we invited social workers, commissioners, and other professionals in the social care sector to a VIP viewing to launch our brand new Multi Sensory Room at Waterside Specialist Support. Guests joined us for refreshments and networking before enjoying an interactive tour to explore the calming environment of our purpose-built sensory suite and experience our state-of-the-art technology first hand. We would like to thank all the organisations that attended and supported our VIP viewing, especially Tanya Burch, the Ceremonial Mayor, along with the Salford Speech and Language Therapy Team, Salford's Family Support Workers, the Children with Disability Team, and the Learning Disabilities Team. We appreciate everyone's support. For more information on how to book our Multi Sensory Room, please visit our website: https://lnkd.in/e4v3Eg7p Keep your eyes peeled for more footage and images of the MSR coming soon…

Cooking with homegrown produce from the Royal Horticultural Society. At Alexandra Community Hub, we've been cooking courgette and tomato pasta, along with potato and leek soup, using produce we helped grow and harvest at the RHS Garden Bridgewater. Everyone really enjoyed the process... From growing their own vegetables, choosing recipes in their forums and helping prepare a delicious meal. Best of all, we all got to enjoy the fresh, homemade pasta dish. You can’t get much better than that! Well done, Team Alexandra and a big shout out to Kate, Aspire Support Worker for the incredible photos!

Joanne and Marta from Bibby Line Group did a fantastic job tidying our outdoor area at Alexandra Community Hub. We're so grateful for their help. We can't thank Bibbyline enough for all the volunteer hours this summer. Your team has transformed our outdoor spaces, making them neat and tidy.
