The Christmas Season is typically filled with a multitude of sensory challenges for those we serve. Remembering someones unique sensory preferred and needs can help families and carers create those ‘just right’ moments for a that ‘just right’ day. Dr Ayres talked about the ‘just right challenge’. Here are some handy hints and ideas from the ASI Wise team. x Merry Christmas everyone. https://lnkd.in/ei_Nc5QK

Is there was ever a reason to question the power of music and song in particular in therapy sessions, here is compelling evidence.
⚡🌶💡 Together, we spark our future: Merging minds - expanding horizons, mixing insights and visions for a bright future🌞
🎵❣️🎵What would life be without music ? Imagine a world without melodies. No rhythm to inspire us. No harmony to connect us. Would we even feel fully alive? Music is more than just sound; I believe it's a universal language that touches every living being on our Earth 🌍 Here I have 3 mind-blowing scientific proofs of music’s power: 1️⃣ Music reduces stress 🧘♂️ Studies show that listening to calming music lowers cortisol levels - the hormone that causes stress. Even animals, like dogs, relax when they hear soothing tunes. 2️⃣ Music heals the brain 🧠 Research on stroke survivors shows that listening to music can help rebuild brain functions like memory and speech faster than therapy alone. It's like medicine for our mind! 3️⃣ Music boosts social bonds 🤝 Singing together triggers the release of oxytocin, the "love hormone." This creates stronger bonds, whether you're in a choir, at a concert, or even a group howl with wolves! 🐺🎤 Music also transcends words. It speaks directly to our soul of humans, animals, and nature. It's a melody that unites us all. 🎵 ♻️ share to inspire + grow your network if you like ✅️ follow me Marcus Parade, 🌞💡✅ MBA for more inspirations #PowerOfMusic 🎶 #UniversalLanguage 🌍 #MusicHeals 🧠 #MelodyOfLife ❤️ #SoundOfConnection 🎵

📢 New Research Alert! COVID-19 has left a significant impact on young people’s mental wellbeing, with sensory-processing sensitivity (SPS) emerging as a key factor in understanding their response to trauma. A recent UK-based study involving 441 individuals aged 16-25 highlights: ✅ SPS is positively linked to COVID-19 trauma-related stress. ✅ Resilience plays a protective role, mediating the relationship between SPS and stress. ✅ Life satisfaction, surprisingly, showed no significant impact. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating resilience-building strategies into interventions targeting young people’s mental health. 🔗 Read the abstract here and access the full article to explore the detailed findings: https://lnkd.in/eBrnt2Ru Let’s continue to develop tools and frameworks to support young people post-pandemic. 💡

The escalation of misinformation about the ASI Wise Learning Routes has left us no choice but to take action to set the record straight. The misleading information has been circulating for some time, and following questions at The OT Show from therapists visiting our stand, it is clear and important that we clarify our offer. We can no longer remain silent. Therapists have requested access to reliable information to make informed decisions about their educational and career paths. Managers require accurate financial facts to make fair and equitable comparisons about different learning offers. Service Leads require clear information about learning routes and the knowledge and skills they deliver, including learning outcomes, to meet therapist and service delivery needs best. Making clear the tutor support, qualifications awarded, as well as tools and resources included in our learning offer, is now essential. Please see the attached link for our correction addressing the specific false claims about the ASI Wise learning offer currently available online by another provider. Please contact us with any questions or to explore your options for transferring to ASI Wise. We remain committed to honest, transparent communication. https://lnkd.in/eHh4Wp9p
