The UK’s statutory regulator for architects. We keep an online public register of 42,000+ architects.
About us
The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the UK’s independent, statutory regulator of architects. We work in the public interest to protect those who use or may use architects’ services and support architects through regulation. We keep a public register of 42,000+ architects which you can search online - architects-register.org.uk. Only those on this Register can legally call themselves an architect in the UK. We set the qualifications and experience required to be an architect, as well as standards of conduct and practice. We can investigate complaints about the conduct or practice of architects, and about someone calling themselves an architect illegally. We are also the UK’s Competent Authority for architects.

Architects, have you completed your CPD for the year? 📚 All architects can record their CPD on MyARB, but RIBA members can choose to record their CPD solely with RIBA - they do not need to also record it on MyARB. When you're ready, you can sign your declaration confirming your participation in CPD and pay your retention fee for 2025 through MyARB ➡ https://arb.org.uk/myarb/ #architects #cpd

Last week, ARB published new research on culture and misconduct in the architects’ profession. We commissioned research to help us understand the workplace culture experienced by architects and how this shapes the quality of the work they deliver. The research found that: - Over a third of all professionals working in architecture have experienced insults, stereotypes or jokes relating to protected characteristics. - One in four female professionals has experienced unwelcome sexual advances. - A third of professionals would not feel confident raising concerns if they experienced or observed misconduct.
