Did you know nearly one in five UK employees haven’t had proper training to use AI at work? A recent study found that 19% of UK employees (6.31 million workers) lack training on AI tools. While 70% of employees already use AI in their roles, 34% admit they lack the soft skills needed to use these tools effectively. AI is already making a big impact in the workplace, with two-thirds of employees saying it helps them complete tasks they couldn’t do before. Workers are saving an average of 37 minutes daily – more than 150 hours annually. Plus, 62% feel AI has made their work more enjoyable, which could contribute to improved retention. Yet, many employees still feel unprepared. In fact, 47% prefer to rely on their own abilities rather than trust AI, highlighting that better training and support are clearly needed.
