We are pleased to showcase our recent solar PV installation for Maclean's Highland Bakery right here in Forres, just a stone’s throw from the AES Solar office. It doesn't get much more local than this! As part of their roof renovation, we installed this 77.7 kWp solar PV system, estimated to generate an annual production of 65 kWh and save 12.61 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year – the annual equivalent of 525,000 biscuits baked! 🍪 This solar system is just the latest step for Maclean’s in reducing their environmental impact, all while have the added bonus of cutting outgoings by generating free, renewable energy onsite – talk about the icing on the cake! 🍰 We were delighted to play a part in their transition journey to net zero. #SolarPower #SolarPV #ScottishSolar #CommercialSolar #Renewables #RenewableEnergy #GreenEnergy #GreenFuture #Sustainability

Delighted to share the progress of this recent commercial solar PV installation in Cumbernauld which shows our team’s ability to deliver large-scale commercial solar installations with expertise and efficiency! This 240.3 kWp system with 540 solar panels on this flat roof is a solid and durable setup, ready to harness the power of the sun and provide free, renewable energy. Our work has included stripping out the old system, preparing and cleaning the roof, installing ballast mounts, and coordinating crane hire and lift operations. 🏗️ Next up: cable pulling and commissioning to bring this system online and deliver clean, renewable energy to the site. Exciting times at AES Solar as we gear up for our sponsored cycle this Saturday along the stunning Speyside Way, all in support of our charity of the year, The Oxygen Works! Training is in full swing, and as part of our preparations, we hosted bike servicing and puncture repair demonstrations at the office—a skill we hope we won’t need to utilise but always good to be prepared! Today’s #CycleToWorkDay isn’t just significant because it promotes active travel and helps the environment, it also ties in nicely with our fundraising event for 2024! On Saturday, August 31st, a dedicated team of AES Solar staff, friends, and family will participate in a sponsored cycle along The Speyside Way to support The Oxygen Works. This essential charity offers oxygen therapy alongside other services and personalised support in the Scottish Highlands to those with long-term health conditions and chronic illnesses. Participants can choose to start in Aviemore (55 miles), Grantown-on-Spey (40 miles), or Aberlour (20 miles) and will continue to the finish line in Spey Bay. Just this week, we welcomed Leigh-Ann and Jenni from The Oxygen Works to the office to meet some of the team and tell us more about the vital work they carry out in the Highlands!
