We are pleased to showcase our recent solar PV installation for Maclean's Highland Bakery right here in Forres, just a stone’s throw from the AES Solar office. It doesn't get much more local than this! As part of their roof renovation, we installed this 77.7 kWp solar PV system, estimated to generate an annual production of 65 kWh and save 12.61 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year – the annual equivalent of 525,000 biscuits baked! 🍪 This solar system is just the latest step for Maclean’s in reducing their environmental impact, all while have the added bonus of cutting outgoings by generating free, renewable energy onsite – talk about the icing on the cake! 🍰 We were delighted to play a part in their transition journey to net zero. #SolarPower #SolarPV #ScottishSolar #CommercialSolar #Renewables #RenewableEnergy #GreenEnergy #GreenFuture #Sustainability

Scotland's leading solar thermal manufacturer and PV installer providing first class solar solutions since 1979.
About us
AES Solar were established in 1979 in the North-East of Scotland and despite remaining loyal to our local roots we have become the leading solar specialists in Scotland and further afield. We were the first manufacturers of solar thermal panels in Western Europe, something we continue to this day and now have extensive experience in the design, supply and installation of solar thermal and PV systems for small and large scale domestic customers, as well as for a wide variety of commercial and public sector clients throughout the UK. This longevity within the industry has been supported by our growing dynamic team based at our head office in Forres, with the design and technical know-how to see any project through to the highest quality. We combine this wealth of knowledge and experience in order to always remain up to date with the latest technologies, and as the industry shifted we became expert installers in electric vehicle chargers and battery storage systems. As we become increasingly aware of the effects of climate change, renewable energy technologies such as solar panels, electric vehicles and battery storage systems are coming to the forefront of the carbon emissions debate. Many companies now offer renewable energy products, but only AES has 40 years of experience in the UK market and the tried and tested products to make us UK's most creditable solar system manufacturer and installer. From the economic to the environmental, the monetary to the moral, there are real-world benefits of choosing renewable solar energy for your business or home. So, let us generate the power from the sun into hot water and electricity and see why AES has the solar solution for you.

Delighted to share the progress of this recent commercial solar PV installation in Cumbernauld which shows our team’s ability to deliver large-scale commercial solar installations with expertise and efficiency! This 240.3 kWp system with 540 solar panels on this flat roof is a solid and durable setup, ready to harness the power of the sun and provide free, renewable energy. Our work has included stripping out the old system, preparing and cleaning the roof, installing ballast mounts, and coordinating crane hire and lift operations. 🏗️ Next up: cable pulling and commissioning to bring this system online and deliver clean, renewable energy to the site. You too can transform your large roof spaces into energy-generating hubs, reducing overheads with solar overhead! Get in touch to explore how solar can work for your business. ☀️ #SolarPower #SolarPV #ScottishSolar #CommercialSolar #Renewables #RenewableEnergy #GreenEnergy #GreenFuture #Sustainability

As promised, we are delighted to share the details and some pictures from our Sponsored Cycle for The Oxygen Works this weekend! You can read all about the highs and lows in our blog post here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/evFBwbxY From a misty morning in Aviemore to the challenging hills near Aberlour and a sunny finish at Spey Bay (and even an unexpected detour for some going the ‘extra mile'...or 13 if you will!) every pedal pushed was driven by team spirit and your amazing support. Your generosity so far has helped us raise over £1800 for The Oxygen Works, which will directly support their vital oxygen therapy and care in the Scottish Highlands. A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, supported and cheered us on. As this will be one of our final updates on this event, we’d like to share our JustGiving link one last time for any additional donations: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eqFhsANh Thank you for making this possible. 🌞 #SponsoredChallenge #SponsoredCycle #Fundraiser #Fundraising #ThankYou

Today’s #CycleToWorkDay isn’t just significant because it promotes active travel and helps the environment, it also ties in nicely with our fundraising event for 2024! On Saturday, August 31st, a dedicated team of AES Solar staff, friends, and family will participate in a sponsored cycle along The Speyside Way to support The Oxygen Works. This essential charity offers oxygen therapy alongside other services and personalised support in the Scottish Highlands to those with long-term health conditions and chronic illnesses. Participants can choose to start in Aviemore (55 miles), Grantown-on-Spey (40 miles), or Aberlour (20 miles) and will continue to the finish line in Spey Bay. Just this week, we welcomed Leigh-Ann and Jenni from The Oxygen Works to the office to meet some of the team and tell us more about the vital work they carry out in the Highlands! Hearing their story has filled us with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation to support this fantastic cause. Now, we just have the hope for the good weather… To donate, please visit: https://lnkd.in/eqFhsANh Thank you. #CharityFundraiser #Fundraising #SponsoredCycle
