  • Continuing our 2024 Reflections & 2025 Predictions, this time our Banking & Alliances Director, Jim Conning, shares his insights. The story of financial connectivity in 2024 has been one of strengthening foundations rather than revolutionary breakthroughs. While AI generated headlines, the real transformation happened in B2B payments, with faster payments seeing an impressive 18% year-on-year growth. This shift reflects a deeper change in business mindset - speed and efficiency are no longer luxuries but competitive necessities. The widespread adoption of Confirmation of Payee marked another significant chapter, transforming how businesses handle large-value transfers. The UK's leadership in this space has inspired global adoption, with the EU and New Zealand following suit. Looking to 2025, Jim anticipates a new era of collaboration between banks and technology providers, addressing the long-standing challenge of systems integration. Combined with the implementation of ISO 20022, this partnership approach promises to reshape how businesses connect with their banking partners. Jim’s insights reflect the growing importance of connectivity and efficiency in financial operations. Read Jim’s full write up: https://okt.to/eiH3GQ
