More details about the UAE conference are to follow. Takeaway points from the conference were as follows; 1. Each fund is looking for something different so while there is a base for your pitch deck and deliverance be true to yourself and deliver in the format that your confident and comfortable. 2. Make sure you present the problem, solution, why you, traction, what you’re looking for and why and ultimately the knowledge behind this being the team. 3. You have seconds to grip a VC so make sure the slides pop out and make it clear exactly what you do in a simplistic format. 4. Do your due diligence on the investor are they right for you, do they offer investment in your sector and the level you’re looking for. Ensure that they’re the right people to go on the journey with you. 5. Make sure you have a good strong ecosystem including a good legal advisor and financial advisor. You will need to know your numbers, have solid robust documents and be ready for the due diligence process as you scale 6 Make sure your staff and other investors are engaged in the process and therefore don’t scupper the deal but also excited engaged throughout.
